Rolex Cash System

Anyone buy the Rolex Cash System and can tell me, at least in general, what it's about and if it's legit?
Its sales page is one of those typically slick style over substance sites that tease you endlessly about everything the product is not, with little or no information about what the customer actually gets for his or her money.
I got an email that hinted at some connection to the Belgium eID card, which actually exists. But, like the sales page, the email was equally cryptic.
This product aside, does anyone know a way to make legit money from these eID cards?
