You'll no longer see that annoying IGTV button

TechCrunch reports that Facebook-owned Instagram will ditch the IGTV button from the upper-right corner of the app.



Launched in 2018, IGTV is Instagram's long-form video service which is pitted against YouTube and other video apps. A spokesperson told TechCrunch, "very few are clicking into the IGTV icon in the top right corner of the home screen in the Instagram app."

Well. Instagram has struggled attracting IGTV users and creators since launch, as IGTV doesn't offer the same sponsored content opportunities as Instagram does for main IG posts.
