Pinterest launches new AR makeup feature
Pinterest just launched Try On to Android and iOS users in the US. Try On is their brand-new augmented reality feature that lets users try different lipstick shades which suit their complexion, all without having to physically go to a cosmetics store.
Some of the brands include Sephora, Neutrogena, and NYX Professional Makeup. To start using the feature, users would open the in-app camera which in Search, and then tapping on "Try It" to explore different shades.
Pinterest also won't apply filters such as skin smoothing, so you have an accurate depiction of what the lipsticks looks in real life.
