Pinterest rolling out Pinterest Lite globally
Pinterest is launching its revamped and data-friendly Pinterest Lite globally for Android users. Pinterest Lite was previously only made available to limited regions.
Pinterest further explains:
"We recently began launching Pinterest Lite for Android to people in Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Mexico. Today we're expanding the availability of Pinterest Lite and launching it globally. Pinterest Lite offers most of the features of the Pinterest app, while taking up less space on your device, and can download more quickly in places with slower internet connection."
Pinterest's focus on emerging markets is a good move as they're looking to increase their monthly active users, particularly in India and Southeast Asia.
