Facebook rolls out Memoji-like avatars to US users
Facebook is rolling out Avatars to US users starting today, as confirmed by Facebook App Head Fidji Simo.
Avatars provides users with a cartoonish character, similar to Bitmoji and Apple's Memoji, and can be used as stickers for both Facebook and Messenger. Simo also added users may soon be able to use Avatars to more places:
"There are so many different ways you can use your avatar, including in comments, Stories, Messenger - and soon text posts with backgrounds, too."
Meanwhile, Apple users who have iOS 13 installed can use Memojis in similar fashion - use them as Apple profile avatars, as comments on different social media platforms, and integrated with the default Apple keyboard on both iPad and iPhone.
