The social network giant announced a new newsfeed algorithm update for news, which puts emphasis on original reporting, and will boost content from legitimate news websites which share information about their journalists.

The update comes after people are turning to Facebook for news content, and is also where most news agencies provide and share updates. And according to Facebook:

"When we ask people what kind of news they want to see on Facebook, they continually tell us they want news stories that are credible and informative. Today, we're updating the way news stories are ranked in News Feed to prioritize original reporting and stories with transparent authorship."
The update puts key emphasis on original news content and transparent authorship. For original news content, Facebook will prioritise original reporting on a developing story. They also noted that most people get their news from shared sources.

Chime in.

Facebook and the word Legit is hard to swallow when they getting boycotted. Zuckerburg stole Facebook there was a Movie about it, took Russian Currency for Ads in 2016 and did Emotional Manipulation on its own users. Not opinion just facts.

I wonder how they'll be able to identify original content as many people steal content without crediting authors...
