Targeting gamers with LinkedIn campaigns

When we speak of LinkedIn, we usually associate it with work. It's basically a social network for professionals. On the other hand, gamers are usually on Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook Live. You'd never see PewDiePie live-streaming Minecraft on LinkedIn, right?

But that's just in the strictest sense. And LinkedIn has evolved from strictly networking and connecting with working professionals, to basically, well, a professional social network where people share stuff about their career, business deals, among other things.

LinkedIn's recent report shows that 55 million active members in the US are gamers. Now go check out this infographic from LinkedIn on the platform's evolving gaming discussion.

    Hi,
I myself have an account on LinkedIn and I consider it the platform only for the professionals. And this statement is surprising!
Anyhow, good effort with with positive intention leads you to success.
Thanks a million for sharing this information. It will be helpful for the LinkedIn users.

    Best Regards

  • I consider myself as part of audience 2. I'm wondering how they would target me. I rarely talk about gaming in my LinkedIn account. It's not related to my work at all. Just curious how they can make this work.
