So you’re a startup who’s about to start designing a logo for your brand. Nice. Now it’s time to start designing a brand logo.
Designing can be very time-consuming, meticulous, and sometimes costly especially if you’re hiring someone else for design inputs
If you’re a little cash-strapped, here are 4 free tools that can help you create a unique and professional logo.
Canva
The ubiquitously easy-to-use Canva makes the list, as it’s more than just a platform for creating social media posts.
It’s also a graphic design tool for email campaigns, blog headers, and you guess it, brand logos. And you can get started by simply uploading photos, add text, and choose from Canva’s vast pre-defined templates.
Adobe Express
Photoshop is prohibitively expensive, especially for startups with limited funding. Fortunately there’s Adobe Express, a free logo maker from Adobe that brings you “AI-generated quality logos”.
As with Canva, you can either design logos from scratch, or choose from numerous templates available for free. There are also additional features that let you customise your logo further.
Hatchful by Shopify
Hatchful lets you upload images or choose from any of the pre-designed templates. Then you can add all the other elements needed — text, colours, shapes, drop shadows, etc.
The best part about this tool is that it’s integrated with Shopify, and will surely work with e-commerce store owners looking to create their first logo.
Tailor Brands
Tailor Brands might not ring familiar for many people, but it’s another free and easy-to-use online tool for designing logos. Just like the others, you just upload your image and choose from any templates to get started.
When you’re done, you can download a high-resolution version of your logo (a must), and use them for your portfolios. Tailor Brands will also work best on PCs, especially with multiple screen setups.
Looka
Look is a free logo tool that uses AI technology to help you craft ideas for your logo. This is particularly important if you’re in limbo, and you still don’t know what your logo would look like yet.
The AI will surely get you started, and you can use different fonts, colours, shapes, images, etc to get started.
