I live just north of the city, in Montgomery County. Center City is convenient for me, but in looking at where people are coming from - Delaware, West Chester, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia, somewhere close to I-476 and Rt 30 (St. David's) might be a good choice.

I'm certainly still interested and flexible as far as time, I just want to see this happen. In fact I'm still willing to meet tomorrow.

As far as ongoing - an idea that occurred to me is the possibility of an in-person gathering once a month and a virtual gathering once a month; that might make it easier to include folks who live further out. I used to belong to a networking group that did that.

  Based on views, it seems this could be one of the largest local groups, but with only 21 responses "saying" they'd attend, I'm not optimistic about actual attendance.
  
  I'm willing to put this thing together if I can get enough early adopters on board to help build and grow this chapter.

  I'm interested as I'm just getting started. However, from looking at everyones locations it appears that we are all spread out. Delaware, West Chester, Trenton even Harrisburg that equates to on average drive times of 30-60 minutes each way. As we all know there is always a no show rate of probably 70-80% as things do come up and it is snow season.
  
  I'm in the Pottstown area right in the corner of Montgomery / Chester / Berks counties.
  
  So, maybe to get more onboard,
  What can be expected from a local warrior group?
  What are your expectations of the group?
  
  I'll leave it a very high level and broad questions and hope to get some good responses. Responses should help decide if there is enough interest to sustain and grow.
  
  Since I'm posting the questions, I'll start it off as it is only fair.
  I'd be looking for support, brainstorming, advice, feedback, JV, etc.
  I'm not looking to be sold as I get plenty of that in my in-box daily. Utilizing services and paying is one thing but if this will be just a network / business card exchange / give me your money.... I'm not interested, I can get all that without the drive time. Just being upfront and honest.

Ok, I am going to suggest a time of 1:30 PM.
Last Sunday in January is January 25th.
Uno's, Plymouth Meeting PA, 4 miles east of King of Prussia. That is now the closest Uno's to K of P.

It's right off of the Plymouth Meeting exit of I-476.

Charles I saw you. You looked right at me. At first I thought it might be you but, then I saw your family follow in and figured just another family coming in. Your kids had matching jackets if I remember correctly. I was tired and I guess walking up to total strangers and asking if they are Warriors didn't seem like a good idea.

I asked the hostess and yes she had no idea what I was talking about. I looked around and it looked like all families so, grabbed a seat at the end of the bar where I could watch through the windows. Guess I figured I was early and therefore the first, guess I was wrong.

The hostess was a kid so, I guess being clueless fits. I wish she would of had a clue rather than just a sort of no idea stare.

Oh well, life goes on. I did enjoy the beer.

I would like to get an idea of how it went.

Al, sounds like you may have been looking at the wrong group of people. According to the bartender, I missed you by about 5 minutes. I waited about 30 minutes and then went to leave. That's when one of the hostess asked me if I was looking for someone and mentioned that they had put everyone at a table in the back of the restaurant.

It was a completely different group of people than the table that I thought might be Warriors.

Overall, it was pretty good for a first-time get together. I had trouble finding the place or else I would have gotten there sooner.

Quarterly would be doable for me. Monthly would not.

Meetings like this, I always say the more the merrier.

Hey All,

Nice to see people trying to get together.

Don't be discouraged by the attendance. My first one had 10, then the second one 4. But the third had 36, the fourth had over 50 and our last one we held on Long Island and we had between 20 and 30.

Committing to a monthly meeting with people from all over is difficult. My suggestion is to meet in person 2 to 4 times per year and then do monthly or even weekly on line masterminds. These can be very effective.

If you do another one, let me know. I'll try to get down there. Been trying to get together with Brian now for a while anyway. Plus, I will make sure he comes.
