I was looking through this forum for Seattle groups and I saw a couple threads with some momentum and a lot of people were interested but it seems as if people were waiting for someone to take the lead on it so I'm offering to do that.

How about we meet up on May 5th at 7:00 PM? Update: IT'S ON!

Here is the address and we're on for May 5th at 7:00 PM:

Starbucks (across the street from the gas station)

2424 33rd Ave W, Seattle, WA, United States

I'm based in Magnolia so if people were interested in coming to the Starbucks over in Magnolia I know there is enough seating both outside / inside for at least 6 people I'm sure.

Who is interested? Also, since my account is still new I can't respond to PM's just yet so just post here if you're interested and we'll try and work it out.

Short Bio on Me:

I run a bunch of different websites and blogs across various niches. I got fired from my job back in October 2009, but I was already earning more money from my websites than from my day job so I decided that was the kick in my pants that I needed to go full time and so far I haven't looked back.

Let me know what you think,

Chris Guthrie

  • I'm working to get something going on a virtual basis (can't post but do a search from the menu) however I could see this kind of thing complementing that. What frequency did you have in mind?

    • Great - nice to see another confirmed attendee. Feel free to PM any other people you see on the forums that are based in Seattle
  • Hey Chris-
I am in North Idaho, but the family loves to come to Seattle to play. If you are going to continue with meetings in the summer, would I be able to come over? You may laugh at someone willing to drive 6 hours to a meeting, but living on this farm is isolating in a bad way at times, and meeting living human beings that share my interests might help keep me sane.

  • Wonderful, Fantastic

    • Hi Valorie,

I'm not Chris, but I'd love to meet a living human being from Idaho.

Please join us when you can!

  • Wish I could come! I'm over in Richland, WA but if these events keep up; I might have to make a weekend trip one of these days. I would LOVE to get together with some fellow warriors!
  • does it online or by face to face?
  • Chris-
With a week or two of notice, I would definitely get over there. Just need time to form a plan, you know.

    • Hi Valorie-

I'm sure we'll be doing this next month. Keep coming back to this thread for more updates.

      Have a great day!

      -Michael
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Chris,

I want to do something similar in my town. How did you get the ball rolling? I'm interested in meeting with anyone who wants to improve their bottom line on the Internet, not just the WF people. This is a very interesting thread for me.

    • Chris & Michael, it was great meeting you guys, and I look forward to building this group into the best offline Warrior think tank IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE! :p

Thanks again, Chris, for stepping up and getting this going.
  • I missed this thread in time but please let me know if you plan to meet again in the Seattle area?.

    Thanks!

    • Yes I will let you know for sure. I'm thinking bi monthly for now until we can get enough people coming. If we could get up to 30 people or so perhaps we could get a space to do it at perhaps and have speakers?

  • Will you guys have another meeting soon?
  • Hi Chris,
I live on the east side, but I am interested and could drive over to Seattle for your next meeting. Let me know.
    Thanks!
  • I live in Marysville but would be more than willing to show up! Please PM me or email me at scrofford@clearwire.net when you decide to have another meeting. A little notice too would be great lol!

    • Alright, I think it's about time to start thinking about another meetup.

What does everyone think about LATE June or mid July?

I'm leaning towards mid July as I'd like to have enough time to get in touch with everyone that wants to make it.
  • Both sound great. Let's say we meet-up late June if there are enough people already or mid July otherwise.
    • [1] reply
    • Yeah, let's wait til mid-July and build the buzz. If we set a date now, that'll give people plenty of notice.

Last time, I think about 5 or 6 people said they were coming, & we ended up with 3 (actually not bad for this type of event).

So if we shoot for at least 10-15, maybe we can get 6 or 8 to show up.

If you see Warriors from the Seattle area, spread the word...
  • If people will actually SHOW UP, I'm in.
    • [1] reply
    • Well, 3 of us did last time - we're hoping to build on that.
  • If I haven't been dispatched to a wildfire I'll be there.
  • Let me know when you have a date, I'll do my best to get there!

    -Valorie
  • Anyone think about pulling this off in Everett, Marysville or Bellingham to get some B.C warriors involved?
    • [1] reply
    • I live right in Lower Queenanne and will definitely come! Please PM me when a mid July date is scheduled. I look forward to meeting some like-minded folks!
  • Live in North Bothell, would absolutely love to be involved in this. PM me when the next date is.

    SO EXCITED!
  • Hey Chris, I was unable to drum up enough interest in a weekly virtual mastermind so would love to join in mid-late July!

    Thanks,
    Paul
  • In fact, as a service to the group since July is rolling along -- and not insisting Chris do EVERYthing, let me suggest 7 pm JULY 21 (maintaining the original Wednesday schedule).

In looking for something more "central" than Magnolia to draw a bigger crowd, I phoned the Madison Starbucks which has an awesome meeting room for 10-15 people -- alas it was already reserved for that night. However when prompted, the gal suggested a new Starbucks concept where we can reserve the PATIO that seats 12, so let's give it a try.

    15th Ave Coffee
    328 15th Ave E (Capitol Hill)

    206-323-1568 if you're lost!

    Chime in to RSVP, eh?

    • I think we should create a brand new thread. Want me to do that now? Then I'll PM everyone that is interested and I will also tell the people that have been contacting me via my blog.

      Thoughts?

  • All good
  • Chris,

I'm ready for the next mastermind summit. Let's do this. Keep me posted, see you there....

    Michael
  • Are Washington WF meetups actually happening? I would love to participate or even organize one. Let me know!

    Thanks,
