Glad to see a Central Florida group! I should be able to make it and I know right where the Ale House is. I've been there many times for dinner and happy hour. I'm in Sanford - what part of Central Florida are you in?

Well, it just may be the three of us...but at least it's a start.

Well, the Central Florida Mastermind Group went pretty well. Didn't have a weird on in the group ('cept me) :-)

It was really just a meet and greet. Not a lot of business was discussed, which in my opinion was good.

We decided to have another meeting in Winter Park next month. Actually, Saturday Jan 17th at 3pm. I'll have to confirm before I add it to the calender but I believe we will be meeting at the "Boarders" book store and will have our get together in the coffee shop there.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Anything still going on in Orlando? I just moved to New Smyrna Beach but know my way around Orlando and Altamonte.

I can find the Mall and Panera in Altamonte, and the Drunken Monkey, Barnes/Noble, and a big movie theater in Orlando.

Just moved to Orlando and would love to meet and share ideas. I am fairly new to IM, started in Feb/09...
But I was definitely bitten by the bug, and now I eat, sleep and eat some more Internet Marketing.
As much as I love Warrior Forum is difficult to arrange a meeting here. You will see people pop in here from month to month and sometimes is difficult to get these meetings going. I tried to open a community at meetup .com but you have to pay. And why pay when you can do things for free? I just started a community at facebook:

Here's the deal ... I'll be setting a date here soon, and if people show, they show, if they don't, they don't. Most people on this forum wouldn't get off their asses to help themselves if they were on fire so I'm not going to beg and plead with anyone, and I'm not going to be taking "suggestions" on the schedule or location this time around.

Once you show up for a few meetings in a row, I'll take your opinion into consideration... but until you've proven you're really ready to show up, and actually do show up, it's just too bad.

And yes, that means I just appointed myself the leader of the group for now... someone has to run the show, or nothing will ever get started.

It's too far, it's too late, it's too early, I'm not sure ... blah, Blah BLAH, Blah, blah! Stop the excuses already... I just flew out to Boise for a 2 day mastermind, and that's not exactly local.

I'll be setting something up for a mid-week, at night, in the EAST Orlando area likely in the first week of November, maybe the 2nd week. (VERY LIKELY THE FIRST WEEK) I'll be there with at least one of my two lead developers, and I've been in IM for more than 13 years, host my own events, etc, etc, etc. I know my stuff...

Location will be near the UCF area... Bastide, get in your car and drive out you lazy *******.

Ross Goldberg drove up from south FL, you can drive from Kissimmee.

If you're in, post here... but don't say you're in and then not show up unless you're dead, bleeding to death, or a family member is dead. So basically, if you're in ... the only legitimate excuse for not showing up is death.

Commit to something, and follow through... (hint: that helps you become a hell of a lot more successful)

Looking for 3-5 people for serious Masterminding anywhere near Kissimmee. I am not an expert at all so I'm looking for beginner to intermediate marketers that can help each other with ideas, support and accountability

I'm in Clermont, which is in southern Lake county. I'm not too far from where Brad Spencer lives. (Just 1 town in between) I'd like to meet up with some like-minded folks and get some masterminding going on. My J.O.B. (just over broke) is in the hospitality industry, so my schedule can be a bit hard to work around (Usually it's 12:00 - 20:30, but it can vary). I have a lot of varied interests and skills, but I need to meet some people to collaborate with. Maybe we can fill in some skill gaps for each other. I'm usually off on Fridays and Saturdays. (Of course, I'm usually working on my IM efforts those days.) I can't PM yet, so posting here is probably best. I'm subscribing to this thread. Hope to meet some of you soon.

I have considered every request for our first location and I have chosen a coffee shop close to Downtown Orlando. Keep in mind that during our first meeting well decide where and when our next meetings will be. They can rotate every month or go back and forth between just two locations east /west of downtown and rotate that way. We’ll have an agenda for the meeting which I will send in the next few days. SO……

I know it seems far removed but I think it’s better to allow people with a busy calendar time to move stuff around so they can attend. Also I’m toying with the idea to give people some small tasks to complete before the meeting in order to be effective and efficient.

@Vector I have to agree with Dana, and let others know I am open to a meeting sooner. A month from now is much too long.

While I appreciate your compassion towards those who must schedule free time, some of us are willing to adjust schedules immediately. Either people are serious about business or they aren't.

Also I’m toying with the idea to give people some small tasks to complete before the meeting in order to be effective and efficient.

My suggestion would be one single task, an introduction of themselves with what they would like the group to know about who they are, what their skills are, and their goals. ...just a relaxed, open dialogue between future friends with similar interests meeting for the first time :~)

I was there at starbucks in the bonheim and nobody was there. I asked around, and nobody saw anyone meeting there at the long table.

The guy at the counter said the the 4 people sitting there (3 hotel guests and a guy who is a regular) were the only ones that had been there for at least 15 minutes (except for the carry outs) before I arrived at 10:10am. I looked around the hotel lobby, asked around. Nobody knew nothing. I checked one more time and then left at 10:40

so whats with the hour and a half meeting. is that just BS for covering yourself? Cmon man!

I emailed you 3 weeks before, PM'd you, a few times. finally a couple days before, you finally confirmed it was still on. But I did wonder since you never emailed me.

Anybody else get an email?

I told you I would be there. You also said you were going to email everyone. How much effort would that have taken?

I drove 2+ hours to get there. NADA.

@Vector Thank you very much for scheduling this meeting, selecting a date, and providing a location. You traveled a very long way to get to the meeting, and your focus on building yourself a profitable website business was evident.

I think it was a good meeting. An hour and a half was a perfect length for a Saturday morning. I am thrilled to have new local contacts for people working towards similar goals

It was great that everybody there had already built some websites, and we could all speak the same language.

I wouldn't worry about reminders too much, as the time and date is what was important. A month advance was plenty of time. The location was central to everyone, and only required a commitment to be there. This was not set up to be a social club, but as a way to share business ideas to make money. That takes commitment to your business, and a willingness to do things others cannot or will not do to succeed.

Central Florida Warriors Meet Up

Since there seems to be some genuine interest in meeting other area Warriors, I'll take the ball and run with it.

I propose meeting somewhere at the Viera exit (Exit 191) off I-95 on Saturday, October 8th at around 10:00 to 11:00 AM for 60 to 90 minutes... longer if wanted. I suggest Viera as a first location because it isn't that far from central Orlando, or Kissimmee... nor too much of a drive from even Apopka or Leesburg. I'm sure most people will be open to moving the location around if people want to rotate it. This is 60 miles from my home on the Treasure Coast. I’m willing to make the drive.

This location is just north of the HWY 192 exit on I-95 from the Kissimmee area,... just south of the HWY 520 exit on I-95 from Orlando.

Where? My first suggestion is the McDonalds at Exit 191 (on the EAST side), because of their Wifi, clean restrooms, eats, etc. and, we all know McD's won't care if we take up some space for awhile. But there are numerous restaurants in the Viera shopping center, as alternatives. We can move it around later or now. No problem.

I think the wifi component is helpful so that people can take a look at websites or perhaps offers or other things of interest. Most restaurants don't have wifi, so that is a convenience with McD's.

So, what if you have kids and your spouse isn't interested in I.M. ... then, Viera has tons of stores, the beautiful Melbourne beach is 15 minutes away, there is another mall on Merritt Island with a Macy's, Viera is on the west side of I-95 has WalMart and a McD's in it too.

Why come? I'll take suggestions for brief chats on subjects of interest ... like local search/SEO/Google Maps, membership sites, CPA/CPV, traffic, quality content, etc. I'm sure others will be willing to pitch-in on things like affiliate stuff, PLR content, driving traffic, etc. I also have project/opportunity/idea that may develop from this meeting that we can all work on together. I will try to develop that in the next few days and update those interested. (BTW, it would be a project that you could learn from or teach others as it works through the process). It's not a business of mine or some affiliate stuff.

I'm PM'ing a longer version of this to people who have posted on the thread here. I can only send out 5 per hour, so, I'll get around to everybody soon enough.

@teaball, Are you actually trying to form a group of professional business people, to discuss private business details and enter into working agreements with others, by starting with a post accusing someone of posting a lie as an effort to cover something up? This is very unprofessional.

I was there at the meeting. I was the person who said the meeting was an hour and a half. I assume you know this is a public forum you are using to make this statement accusing me of 'BS for covering yourself', as in accusing me in public of telling a lie.

Whoa, Teaball not very classy! We just wanted to meet to learn from each other this was no power play at all. The people that were there met. It was not a big group so perhaps we missed each other. I also drove over an hour to be there so I made some approaches to people that look like were waiting for someone. No hidden agenda here with me or Ken for sure. I hope that you can understand this and if you still want to meet well include you next time. There is no time for fighting right?

@Vector, It doesn't sound like we missed seeing him there. He mentioned a long table. There were no long tables in that Starbucks. He mentioned a hotel lobby. There is no hotel at the address @teaball quoted in his post 111. I searched for bonheim, as mentioned in his post, and found no results. It does sound like he was at a Starbucks in some hotel, though, which is not the address you provided to everyone and that he showed in his post.
