Internet Marketers from SOUTH AFRICA?

Hi there,

I know there are a few warriors from South Africa on here. Let's see if we can get the word out and maybe start a mastermind group of some kind.

If we don't get enough people together we can just make this a Skype mastermind group as well.

Anything to get it going.

If any South Africans want to chat about their internet marketing business or anything at all, please let me know and add me on skype:

Skype ID: bertuseng

I have been an internet marketer for 4 years and am doing this full time now, so I am sure I can help a few newer marketers out as well.

Hope to hear from someone soon,

Bertus Engelbrecht

        Hi Bertus

I have tryed this local thing before with some other IM'rs in SA. The main thing is the long time century old problem from the South African mentality. One person do not want to see another succeed in anything.

I estimate that there are around 3000-5000 active IM'rs in South Africa. A good percentage of these are making a fortune online. There are a good few small groups that work together in various communities, but no outsider are allowed in, even if there are space for a couple thousand more.

The other problem I experienced with fellow South Africans ( New people entering IM) 95% of them enter with the same mentality as the general global people!!! They want everything on a plate and do not want to work to build their business.

I still however think you have a nice idea there to create a think tank. I would suggest you start a membership. From inside the membership you can upgrade the people who qualify to ensure you don't flood the membership with typical scammers.

Feel free to IM me if you need some advice.

@Hentie I have also lost checks in the past from clickbank. The main problem is our unique banking system. No international payment gateway wanted to deal with the South African banking system because of all the rules and regulations. I would suggest to you to put your threshold limit in clickbank on US$5000, when it reach 4000 or so, then put your threshold back to zero. The end of that pay period your check will be mailed. Make sure it is certified post. Also make sure they send it to a PO: Box. When you receive your check, then let your bank take the long route to get it processed. ( It takes them about 6-8 Weeks, but this mean your banking cost is low.)

          I totally agree with BOKKE.

It's a general problem with us South Africans. Some people just don't want to help others succeed. Many suffer from PHD, Push-Him/Her-Down instead of helping. We don't want to be spoon fed, but just steered into the right direction.

Yes, our banking system stinks. Today, I watched eTV News and even our bank charges are the highest in the world. It's absolutely crazy. The banking system needs a total makeover. Also, we cannot even get the full Paypal working for us.

          Just my two cents.

Seems like Bertus forgot about this thread or just could not be bothered anymore. Pity.

          BOKKE.
My experience has also been that SA ppl don't want to share or get their hands dirty and are very quick to criticize, and also tend to be dishonest in their business ethic.

As for payments. PayPal is now running through FNB, but after PayPal, Exchange, FNB and SARS have taken their pounds of flesh, a person is quite a few dollars down. PayPal & CB is also getting very heavy handed with Warriors and info sellers in general at the moment too.

We as SA IM'ers have a whole bunch of unique problems that are not experienced elsewhere, but I am sure if we can actually get a group of like minded ethical people to mastermind together then we can find ways to make things work.

I have started a similar thread for the Cape Town area, but have only had one person reply to date.

Slow going to get any joy out of collaborations here in sunny SA!

Hi Peter - good post about Paypal for South Africans. The latest from FNB is that they will now let anyone create an account for Paypal usage even if they bank with a different company. More info at the attached link. What I really want to know is whether we will be allowed to run a split-payments script for our affiliates. Busy setting everything up now, and I will report back on the API in due course.

    Hi Bertus,

Thanks for the invite! I am living in Pretoria (if that is still what it is called!) Have been around a few years but I am now determined to go full time and have scaled my other activities down to suit.

    Skype name: hentieduplessis

I actually came across this thread when searching the forum for ideas about the banking problem I am running into. My Feb 2012 Clickbank cheque got lost in the post (the second one) and as you probably know we cannot get electronic deposits from them. They do wire transfers at a cost of $35 in US$ but I don't think my volume is sufficient. Any way so far it is only a couple of $'s but if I want to make a living from this I need to find a better solution.

Do have something specific in mind or are you testing the idea? Maybe I will see if I can catch you on skype.

    Thanks, Hentie

I never had a problem if people don't want to share their success process. After all if everybody do exactly the same thing, then it will not be successfull anymore.

My problem before was more with the people that managed to get their money, but would not let anybody know the legal route. I had thousands of commissions sitting with various programs and affilliation programs, but could not claim my money as they only paid out via paypal. Others that did have alternative payment gateways took a long time, because I let it accumulate untill over $US3K to make it worthwhile on the banking cost

I paid an online mate in the UK to run a paypal account and then when it was worth it, he would then take the money out and wire me the rest after his commission for supplying me the service.

I did a similar deal with one of my downlines in Costa Rica, but the first time that He needed to send me the money he just dissapeared. It was about US$6800-00. His commission was US$1000, but I gues he decided he wanted the whole shabang. I tryed for Months to get hold of him with no avail.

I also had money sent to me via moneygram.

I ended up contacting the reserve bank and sars for advice, but as usual they are useless. sars up untill recently could not give clear cut legislation on internet earnings. Paypal has woken sars up after their deal with fnb. They only see more money to corrupt now, because paypal is treated in the same spectrum as the banking industry

I will think about it in the next few weeks to open a closed membership site with Two maybe Three levels of membership. The member must show/proof his commitment to be accepted into the higher level of membership. It will be a free membership site right through to the high level.

I have nothing to loose by doing that for the active SA imr's. I just do not want to spend too much time in there.

I'm sorry, I can't take other South African IM types seriously.

Take Bertus for example. He releases this uBot thing as a WSO, and it seems to be getting a bit of attention.

Except here's the really interesting bit. Google for this (without inverted commas) - "site:autopinterestmarketer.com zip". OH LOOK! We can get it for free!

How are we supposed to be taken seriously when it's like amateur hour here? Come on guys, get your technical skills up to scratch.

Sorry for not coming back to this thread everyone. Wasn't even aware that it was getting this attention.

If you are interested in connecting, I do all of that via skype, so add me: bertuseng

If you are one of the idiots like fluffypony (sic), please don't bother. If there are anyone else that are also into the same kind of thing, such as creating products and affiliate marketing, please hit me up.

Thanks for the people who connected via PMs.

BTW, I am located in Cape Town now. As far as I know there are not many people in SA who are big product launchers. If there are any out there, please connect. tx

Hi Bertus! I have just found your group for Safricans. Brilliant to be here and in contact with everyone. PS: I have just got War Room membership, and am feeling happily smug about it (after bumbling around the WF since 2009). All the best to you
