App Monetization Group - esp. Android
As in the title, we would like to create a small Mastermind group to share ideas, codes, etc to allow for monetization of mobile apps, with a main focus on Android and the PLAY store.
The desire to start the group has been sparked by today's changes to PLAY's ad policies, which are going to revolutionize the options we currently have (sadly, the revolution is NOT going to be in our favor).
Personally, I have almost 500 apps on PLAY, and have seen incomes of $10k a month (using Adsense) dwindle to around $1.5k a month (now using a combo of Networks, including Leadbolt and Smaato among others).
Requirements to be included in the group:
1. Post your Skype ID in this thread, or PM me with it.
2. Have some apps in PLAY, using advertising as at least one of your monetization methods, OR be monetizing mobile sites, which you display via apps.
3. Have some knowledge of coding (PHP/MySQL & Javacsript are just as welcome as Java or C++ or whatever app code you're familiar with.
What I hope to offer, and what I'm hoping members will contribute:
a) Ideas and/or code so we can continue to produce revenue from our apps (or start to generate revenue, for those not there yet), beyond today's changes to PLAY policies
b) Assistance with the creation of PHP-based scripts, or Javascript, to facilitate rotation of ads/banners/etc from multiple Networks
c) Sharing of advice and experiences regarding Networks, who pays, who doesn't, eCPM rates, fill rates, etc
