Price tag? 34$ 37$ vs 39$ vs 42$

Hi guys. I'm trying to decide on a price tag for a software I'm selling. I'm not sure which price usually sells better.

I read that 39$ was better than 34$ and 40$ (Moderated)

But I'm not sure if there's something regarding 37$. Have anyone tried that price tag?

If all your prices are so close and that low, then pricing is
not your highest consideration right now. Your best answer still will
    come through testing.

I had a product that I introduced at $9.97 and it sold very well
so I increased the price to $14.97 and it did better, then I continued
to raise the price until the curve started bending downwards at $47
so I went back to $37.77 at which it stayed. That seemed to be my
    highest converting point.

So test and see what the market says.

Unfortunately the only way to know is to test it. Personally I'd try the $37 and $39

Testing is the only way to know.

In the only split-test I've ever seen which compared $37 with $39, the $39 price sold significantly more copies. Your mileage may vary.

For myself, I'd instinctively be very wary of prices ending in a "$7", because I think that (contrary to very widespread belief) they may actually tend, overall, to convert a little worse than other numbers - that's what's happened every single time I've seen them split-tested, anyway: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9231793

  • I have testing what sells better a lower price or higher? Well you think lower but not, $37 sells better then $36. Why does lower loose?
