Blog with multiple sub niches

My good friend is in a certain niche, and that niche can be broken down into multiple sub niches, should my friend create a blog for each sub niche?

Or should my buddy think of a good branding name and then just include sub categories in his blog? Kinda like a group with multiple divisions?

Without knowing the niche it is difficult to comment, but from a good SEO point of view it is better to have topics - so if the niche has lots of spin off topics just break the blog into topic areas and this will enhance the onsite SEO as well.

I think in this day and age, authority sites that focus on a niche, and include several sub-niches is the way to go for long-term passive income. Branding is definitely a good idea. I just read an article that stated Millennials are highly receptive to brands. Branding makes it a destination site, instead of a site visited just once.

Also, a big site is going to benefit from SEO and branding more than several small sites.

What is this 'niche' by the way? If you're dealing with a huge category such as weight loss, that's just much too big of a 'niche' to compete in. You have to narrow it down and find a spot not so overly saturated by others. Just keep refining it down until your market is very well defined. Will your 'market' be as big? Maybe not, but it will be highly responsive.

Well, it depends on the niche but big blog with smaller categories seems like the more tidy version. Also it gives the impression of a much more professional site being larger and spread across multiple categories that have a central core. And SEO wise a bigger site is the way to go, sure because it is easier to control and manage.

I would go with one blog (authority site). Building new blog for each niche will mean going through the pains of the new website every time new sub-niche is introduced.

Again it depends upon the niche. But generally, one authority site is better. You could however setup separate social media accounts for different sub niches.

You should divide them in to sub niches and create a blog per niche if these sub niches have more traffic volume. and It will easier to rank in SE. If not go with the Main niche .. Make a powerful blog and it will also do the trick

No need to create a new blog. He/she can just directly add new topics and have it as tags. Sometimes having various topics in your website would make it useful and it could help increase traffic.
