Where to get website developed for e-marketing?

Hey, I heard about wordpress but they say that's it is slow compared to the website made by developers. Wordpress ask for $299/year whereas developers are asking $250 for only once. What should i prefer?

    Depends what kind of quality you are happy with - it is not just about price you know, some things like how well the site is configured, features, maintenance and support - not to mention ranking. So you might save some money to get it built, but then are you getting a good site, are you going to be supported and helped? If you do not know what you are doing, educate yourself before committing, there are people who go for a Wix or Weebly site because they are 'free' - but what is the result?

    I agree with MrFume completely. Like anything, you get what you pay for. If you want a cookie cutter website than use a service like wix, or someone who just installs a wordpress template and inserts your content. If you want something that stands out and is a true representation of your brand use a professional developer.

    For example I am a developer and I would never charge less than about $5,000 for a project, it just wouldn't be worth my time otherwise because I do not produce anything but the best for my clients. It really comes down to the quality and details that make difference in a website.

    WordPress can definitely do the job. But it still requires a developer to make the theme. You can always go for one of the freebies but remember that they are not generally the best themes, and can even make your website look "not so cool." Go out there on Google and type in Wordpress templates, and you should run into a few. Pick one you like, and get someone to install it properly for you. Make sure to have the pictures, and the content ready for the person that is going to install it. Or let the person installing it know if he can provide the banners and pictures for you.
