Newbies Are Finding It Hard To Make Money

When you first start out trying to make money online you find that it can be overwhelming. In most cases people give up and become yet another statistic. So my question is how can we stop this from happening? The market is big enough for everyone to have some level of success. What are your suggestions for any newbie?

Pick one method that works, and focus on it exclusively until you'll master it. Do not jump from one method to another - it will get you nowhere!

This is exactly true. When i first started i was trying to do 10 things at one time and i would just fail hard on all of them because i would spend very little time on each method and do pretty bad work. Now i am successful because i focused on one thing. SEO is what interested me the most and it's been nothing but good to me so far.

Nothing will make us to get rich quickly. We all have to focus on our work and made the consistency. Just like what we all do in our full time job. We work all the 30 days and 12 hours a day.

Every single person in this world, lives or dies based on his or her own level of competence.

Therefore, these are the rules. The newbies can learn to play by them or they can lose. It was difficult for each one of us to start. We don't need even lower entry level barriers.

True to make money you have to invest your time into making it work but I certainly dont work 12 hours day nor do I work 30days. It would defeat the original objective I had when I chose this career. I didnt want to be rich I just wanted to be home more with my loved ones. I know many people who don't work that many hours and still be successful. However everyone different

      oWEN tEBB,

      I'm glad you said it.

I'm setting here shaking my head because you are talking about making money and a lot of responses to this, as usual, are ......get rich this and get rich that.

Also I'm seeing responses from others here stating that there is not enough room for everyone to be successful.

I'm almost certain those who say that, are not in tune with your definition of success. You said, " I didnt want to be rich I just wanted to be home more with my loved ones." This is a very reasonable expectation for online success.

Some even have lower expectations for success.....

As hard as it is for some to wrap their heads around success for some is $500, 300, or even less a month and I'm not only talking about those in third world countries.

Consider the happy employee who loves his job, however an extra $500 a month is the difference between a staycation and a vacation. $500 a month would be success for him and very doable for anyone.

How about the retired U.S. citizen living on a $1,800 a month SS income. Another $800 a month would make a big difference. Again very doable by anyone.

So I say newbies, if your goal is to get rich then yes, the "Market may be limited," however, if your "success" would be $1,000, $3,000 or $5,000 a month, take heart, you can do it. There is room for everyone.

I know that feeling all to well... I Was stuck in that rut for 3.5 years.

You want to know what the problem was? I was skipping and hopping from one thing to the next, to the next and didn't focus on one proven business model.

I agree 100% with what artflair said and I am a living testament of what he said.

My advice to the newbies is to do this.

Pick "1" business model that has proven to stand the test of time and put 100% of your efforts in that bucket until you see success.

If you don't start seeing success immediately, then don't jump to the next shiny thing. That is why you are failing.

If need be, get a mentor(which is expensive) to shorten your learning curve. Remember it took me 3.5 years and over $15,000 to finally "get it" in this business and to finally know that jumping from one thing to the next wasn't cutting the mustard.

Most importantly. TAKE ACTION and treat this like a business, because that is exactly what it is.

Businesses require time and effort to build. What puts off most newbies who venture into this industry in my opinion is when they realize that the false promises they've been led to believe are just that...false promises.

And with most things it takes HARD WORK and CONSISTENCY to be successful.

Newbies shouldn't buy into the lies that make most IM product headlines. The only way you can achieve wealthy is when you stop constantly buying stuff (and chasing after shiny objects) and start selling.

No; sorry, but this isn't so at all.

The proportion of people who can "have some level of success" isn't mostly determined by the size of the market. It's determined by the comparison/proportionality between the size of the market and the number of marketers trying to have some success in it.

The variations in that latter, far smaller number are, in outcome-determining terms, the significant part of the equation.

Saying that "the market is big enough for everyone to have some level of success" is based on exactly the same mistaken logic as saying that beginning marketers have a better chance of success in the weight-loss niche than they do in the grape-growing niche, "because the weight-loss niche has at least 10,000 times as many customers". I's true that it has at least 10,000 times as many customers, but it's also true that a beginning marketer is somewhere between 10 and 100 times as likely to make profits in the grape-growing niche as in the weight-loss niche, because of the huge disparity between the number of marketers involved in each market.

This is the point that many people completely miss.

Respectfully, your initial premise above has also completely missed it!

It's explained here (and in the other threads linked to, here): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8561081

In some parts of "the market", there really are nearly as many marketers as customers. (There are nearly as many people wanting to write $5 articles for marketers as there are potential customers wanting to buy them. That's a big part of the reason why almost none of them ever manages to make a living by selling them.)

The market is emphatically not big enough for "everyone to have some level of success".

It's hard to put a figure on it, but I suspect it's big enough for perhaps about 3% of its participants to have "some level of success".

    .

Not necessarily. Some markets are impulse-based and the quality of the product being marketed is esoteric and determined solely by the perception created via the marketing. In such a market having a lot of competition can be an advantage because you have a lot of marketers creating desire in the public and all you have to do is try to be there when they are ready to buy.

You also can't compare the weight loss market to grape growing - the weight loss market is comparable to the growing plants market, while grape growing is comparable to the lose-arm-fat-after-40 market. Both are very limited and can only be expanded via building up lasting relationships with the original market and introducing them to new semi-related products (a lot of work and risk).

Meanwhile, people who want weight loss cures are endless and constantly refreshed, as are the people who need gardening advice. But it's a lot easier to sell weight loss products than it is to become a generic authority on gardening due to that impulse nature.

I've had experience selling extremely niche products and also mass-appeal impulse stuff, and it takes a lot less work after set up to make $100,000 through selling miracle beauty products than through selling a guide on how to raise rabbits (or lose arm fat).

That's because the market for generic impulse stuff has a ridiculous amount of constantly refreshed buyers who buy multiple times, while selling niche products requires constantly hunting new sources to get traffic and an inability to scale beyond a certain point because there is simply a limited amount of people who developed an interest in that niche.

If you're selling your own hand-made writing for $5, then you're not really a marketer operating in a market. The entire point of marketing is to create perceived value so you can sell things profitably.

Besides, the same attitude that leads to people pricing their writing so low is the one that leads to them selecting markets with little competition (and thus limited potential for growth) - low confidence. All things being equal (ie. you don't have a rep/talent in some small niche) I think almost everybody starting out would make more money (for less constant work) in a generic mass-appeal market than a limited niched-down market.

Read this whole post, it's something I learned in the trenches of marketing online. The answer to helping people more is to charge more money. You could give away the best method in the world using the easiest 1 click method and still a large majority of people wouldn't value it.

Imagine if I said right now, I'll send you $1,000 if you go to my page and click the giant button that says "Send Me $1,000" then all you had to do was enter your paypal address and the money was sent.

Yet how many people would say NO WAY it's a scam to get your paypal? Even if it worked and people started posting videos about how it worked, would YOU give up your paypal id to see if it worked? Many would, many wouldn't.

The point is, free information no matter how valuable has no real value to most people. If that same course cost $500 and I said all you have to do now is click the button and enter your paypal.... people would be $500 invested in clicking that button and the amount of people clicking it would be near 100%.

In my beginner's course I teach a system I created called A.M.P. that's working for me. Action, Motivation, and Participation. No matter how amazing your content is, you have to motivate people to taking action. The good news is using a system like this is what turns people into a leaders, motivators and someone people enjoy hearing from.

    For The Newbie...
Building a list and creating your own info products ONLINE is 100% the best method, ever. That's coming from someone who's bought every late night infomercial get rich product and made money with a lot of them. You can create your product once and sell it forever.

Just forget about all the hype and sales pages you've seen and start creating your own products that you can sell online. Even if you fail miserably, dust yourself off and learn why and fix it for the next time. The beauty of internet marketing is this... if it failed all you have to do is change it enough times until it succeeds.

Anyone is capable of succeeding online if they follow a great plan or align themselves with the right people.

I think the hardest thing about this entire online money making thing is that there are too many ways to make money. So much so that newbies are bombarded with cpa, list building, bing/fb ads, product creation, niche websites, content creation, arbitrage, etc and it's to the point where it all looks so good and they don't know which to dive their feet into.

So, what do they? They go around investing money and time into ALL of the above to see 'what works for them.'

The only problem is because there is so many options they feel they hvae to invest only a little bit of time to see if there are results from each of the above and when they've spent some time and realized they havent made a dollar back yet, they switch to the next thing in a few days and always keep rotating looking for that 'magic bullet' that will solve all their issues.

Find a problem to solve for someone.

If you go through this forum, you'll find plenty of them.

The same is true for ANY niche forum. Even if someone else is solving it already, become an affiliate for them, have an opt in offer and start building a list.

Too many newbies start out trying to build their entire damn business. Just solve one problem for someone, then, invite them to find out how to solve their NEXT problem. After you've solved a few for free, offer a product which takes them to the next step.

Keeping leading them through this process and the more you help them succeed, the more stuff they'll buy from you.

WOW the response been amazing. When I first posted this I never thought I would get this kind of response. Many thanks to all who contribute. Anyway I really hope that all newbies do take a look at this because some of the advice has been really inspiring.

The bottom line for any newbie who really want to make an income online you need to do the following...

Do you research into the different types of methods i.e Affilate Marketing, Product creation etc....

Once decided then it time to do your homework and learn everything about how that method works.... I used to read Ebooks, Look online, posted questions etc...

Okay so now you have to plan how your going to make money i.e Action Plan. Draw up a plan for short, medium and long term. Its important to stay realistic and get comfortable being outside your comfort zone. Accept the fact that you will make some mistakes along the way but understand that this is all apart of the growing process... Its also important important to remain focused and if your looking for a good guide on motivation then reach out because I created a free motivation guide that I be more than happy to send anyone.

Once you started, don't be worried if it takes time to earn your first $$, it took me 2 weeks before I earned my first $$ but as soon as I did i got that feeling that I wanted to expierence over and over again. Remember your in it for the long term.

Most importantly share your success and share how you did it with others...

I wish everyone success with whatever they're doing. i'm off to make a couple $100. Thanks again!!!

    Here's a 3-step process:

    1. Discover your niche. A topic which you are knowledgeable on, passionate about, with a significantly big market.

    2. Discover your marketing mix. Study your target group. Study your competition. Study your own resources.

    3. Perform cost-benefit analysis. Figure out the best cost function. Choose the best alternative.

And stick to it for some time. Don't keep doing it for years though. Remember, if you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results.

    1. Follow only 1 method at a time until you're earning money. Scale your business if you're making profit, or leave that business model if you're not.
