I just joined the Forum and am gamblng readers will take mercy on my post. I work as a franchise consultant (it's like a real estate agent accept you deal in franchises) and got interested in internet marketing for lead generation.

I've subscribed to SENuke and bought about 10-15 of the internet marketing "How to's" and have come to the conclusion that I know less about internet marketing now then before I started!

I want to generate leads that want to open a "sticks & bricks" business or a franchise. Am I even headed in the right direction? Should I be following the "SENuke strategy" or should I just be trying to get traffic to my website?

You're experiencing the dreaded "Information Overload" .. You kind of said it yourself when you bought 15 different ebooks on how to make money.

That's the thing about Internet marketing is there are so many different ways to go about it. It seems like since you purchased SEnuke you are trying to get pages to rank well for specific keywords? Even more specifically keywords that you think people looking for offline business opportunities are searching for?

I guess we need to know, what have you done so far?

It looks like maybe you just joined. I am quite new, myself, and although I cannot answer to your particular need, I empathize with the onslaught of information available to those considering IM. My advice is to read these forum posts morning, noon and night because the insight available is astounding, and the people who are gracious enough to answer any question you may have are happy to help and very, very patient.

    Good luck to you!

    Hi Friend,

SE Nuke is a TOOL used for automating several of the tasks you have to do in order to drive traffic.

Getting traffic (which is getting your 'marketing message' or 'advertisement') to your website (storefront that shows what you have to sell, for lack of a better term) is the ultimate goal.

The #1 rule of sales: It's just a numbers game. The more people who know see your product/service, the more sales you make.

What you want is to get traffic! Above all, you want TARGETED traffic. People who want to buy and/or sell franchises (I'm inferring from your post) would hang out in business forums, read classified ads, and probably frequent online business blogs. You could guest author on other people's business blogs, submit classified ads, etc.

    Warmest Regards,
    Marcus

@Netpiddler - with this being his 2nd post, is he able to receive PMs? I know he can't send them until he has 30 posts.

    @franchisementor -

Welcome to the warriror forum. I owned a retail business and once I got people to look at my business' website they would usually call me. It was all local traffic.

My first question is does your website actually get people call you once they go to it and read it? If so, then maybe you just need more traffic.

Second question, are you working locally - just in the SF area, or do you want leads from around the country? This will affect how you drive traffic.

Third question - does your website have a means for you to capture name and email address of people who go to it? This will help us understand your knowledge level about autoresponders and list management companies like Aweber or Getresponse.

Using Google's Adwords - a pay per click method of advertising, you can pick the locations to which you wish to advertise... just SF local, or just California, or the entire USA - without advertising to the entire planet.

If your website can capture names and email addresses (you give potential clients some freebie with a high perceived informational value in exchange for their email) you can also use offline advertising very effectively - newspaper and magazine classified Ads, local or national in scope, or small space Ads. You can run online Ads in ezines, and in classifieds such as Craigslist.

    Just some thoughts.

Here is a wso that might help you.

Right now on page 6 of the wso forum.

Titled: One Website + Two Weeks = $9188

      Author: pjs

Describes methods to get local leads for businesses.

      Has gotten god reviews

A simple landing page with an optin form works well.

You might write an ebook on the advantages, why people
would want a franchise, advantages of owning your own business,
etc. and give it away for free for people that optin as a way to get
      a lead.

If you go the route Robert and I mentioned, there is also a good book available at your neighborhood bookstore called "The Ultimate Guide To Google Adwords" by Perry Marshall and Bryan Todd.

It will give you a good, workable overview of Adwords - especially the chapter about local advertising.
