eBook Fitness Niche Refund Rate Percentage?

Just wondering your thoughts on what the average refund rate is on "guaranteed" info products in the fitness and diet niche is?

Does it vary between men and women? Do one or the other have a higher rate of return?

Any experiences or opinions are greatly appreciated!

I imagine it varies based on the type of info-product you build, how long it is, the quality, bonuses, unadvertised bonuses, price, and even expectation that was built up from your email newsletter. Only 1 way to know for sure though... dive in and test the market. This will give you your true answer if you really want to work in this niche.

I would think it would be pretty much the same between men and women, but I could be wrong. (Be interesting to find out though).

Obviously it also has to do with how you market your product, how the product itself is designed and the subject is approached.

One of the products I promote (for women) has a very low refund rate for a clickbank product. Roughly 3% average over the course of 200+ affiliate commisions.

I think this is because women dont like to create a scene, which is why they do not ask for a refund.

Of course, it could just be that the product is great, but the truth is, I have purchased the book myself out of curiosity, and it's average at best.

I think it mainly depends how do you prepare the costumers on reviews ( I assume you make product reviews before sending them to the actual product because you should ) .
For example: If you say that is a product that will magically make them fit and with 6 pack by following simple secrets and nothing else ( no effort involved) you will trick them into buying it and when purchasing product will get bad reactions when see too much work and rules to follow. Tell the truth , that nothing comes without discipline and dedication, not even your product.
Try to care a little bit about the customers and you should be fine .
( ps: i went from fat to fit myself, so i am kinda talk out of experience )

Depends on a bunch of different factors an important one being traffic source (how the traffic was generated i.e. Email traffic, SEO traffic, warm/cold etc)

Return can be depend of the price of product, if you pay $5.99 or $99 that make a difference. I mean for cheap product is less(-ish) asking for refund.
