Amazon Associate Application

Help Needed

I made my first sale today at Amazon and in a few hours got an email stating the following:

"After careful consideration, we have decided that your account may not present a mutually beneficial business opportunity. We have therefore decided not to approve your application to become an Amazon Associate"

Can you guys help me figure out of how it could be fixed or how I can reinstate my Amazon ID. Thanks.

Regards

    Talk to them, and try to get a reason for why they don't belong in the Amazon Associates program. They may even be able to help you sort through those problems to eventually being in good standing and all.

    In Amazon's operating agreement they say that they may deem your site unsuitable if it trips any of the following red flags:

    (a) promote or contain sexually explicit materials;

    (b) promote violence or contain violent materials;

    (c) promote or contain libelous or defamatory materials;

    (d) promote discrimination, or employ discriminatory practices, based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age;

    (e) promote or undertake illegal activities;

    (f) are directed toward children under 13 years of age, as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506) and any regulations promulgated thereunder;

    (g) include any trademark of Amazon or its affiliates, or a variant or misspelling of a trademark of Amazon or its affiliates, in any domain name, subdomain name, or in any username, group name, or other identifier on any social networking site (see the Trademark Guidelines for examples); or

    (h) otherwise violate intellectual property rights.

    You didn't spook them by committing any of these "crimes," did you? I've also seen/heard of people getting rejected because either the content on their site wasn't of a high enough quality, there wasn't enough content on the site or because their site wasn't deemed to be useful to its visitors. As the other Warriors said, I would probably get in touch with Amazon and see if they can give you a specific reason for the rejection, as then you can simply fix this, re-apply and hopefully get accepted. Good luck!

    Contact them. Becoming amazon affiliate really is not that hard. eBay on the other hand... :S, got rejected 3 times.
