Game streams aggregation site with 400 visitors a day - looking for help with monetization

Hi - long time lurker, first time poster.

I've launched a new site All game streams from Twitch, Azubu and Hitbox | AllStreams.tv a few weeks ago, with the goal of listing and embedding all streams from various game streaming sites. After a bit of a slow start, I worked on my heading/title tags and am now getting around 400 unique visitors per day, mostly from google search results. The sheer number of streams means I am getting among the top results for many obscure streamers. The majority of page views are actually directly to individual stream pages, rather than the home page.

What I'm looking for is help with how best to monetize the site. My initial plan was advertising, however adwords and bing declined me as I didn't have any content - and other advertising didn't seem worth the hassle to the user. So I looked at affiliate marketing - http://jinx.com first, which got me decent clickthroughs (~1%), but no sales. Over the last few days I've tried various products on amazon as well, which is getting me around 2% clickthroughs as well but no sales.

This is my own custom developed site (I'm an analyst/developer by day), so have full reign to change anything.

A few questions:
- Is there another type of marketing I could try?
- Amazon - should I display ads the way Amazon does by default, or continue to use my custom ads? Do the Amazon carousels etc. improve clickthrough?
- Are my above clickthrough rates fairly standard/low/high?
- Should I expect low clickthroughs/sales from my site as I'm not selling to people that are looking for products? My site is essentially providing a service to people, with the hope the might buy something they're interested in.
- Any product suggestions - I've tried game clothing, accessories, equipment - and now general products (e.g. the halloween costumes)
- Is it worth creating different affiliate links for amazon.co.uk, .de., .fr etc? My links are cloaked so I would have to do this manually. I'm getting about 40% visitors from US at the moment. I chose to cloak the links because my site gets a huge amount of bot/crawler visits, and I didn't want to send them through to affiliates.
- Any feedback on design/layout/functionality of the site

Thanks

Drinksarlot, welcome to the forum. I see that you're in the gaming niche and I too am currently in the gaming niche. I can teach you one of my monetization methods that I have success with, but I wouldn't want to post it here since I wouldn't want too much competition on my hand so feel free to pm me.

    Look for Gaming CPA offers.

Many games have a "free trial" and will pay you a few bucks for each sign-up.

    www.offervault.com

Also Clickbank for game guides, cheats, hacks, etc.
