Recommended Places For Learning Affiliate Marketing

Hello everyone:

I've been thinking about wanting to do internet marketing, but with all the changes with google over the years, I begin to wonder if internet marketing might be changing for the worse?

Specifically, I want to do some affiliate marketing where I market other products and make a small commission. A few things. Do you know of any good training places for learning how to be a really good affiliate marketer? Also, what skills do you believe are an essential requirement?

    1. Build website that draws a decent level of traffic.
    2. Frame it out with affiliate ads (or something to that effect).

Congrats. You just learned affiliate marketing!

You can start by using the search function on this forum for affiliate marketing ideas. This forum is a $2,000 seminar in and of itself. Along with the main internet marketing forum, visit the other sub forums on here and gain ideas of how to use those strategies to make money with affiliate marketing.

    Hey PcDoctor,

Your best bet to learn affiliate marketing:

    1. Forums like WF
    2. Affiliate Marketing Blogs
    3. Experience

The last point deserves a little explanation. Having been doing this now for 20 years (not just affiliate marketing, but, yes, affiliate marketing as well) I can tell you experience will be your biggest asset.

You're in a situation now where every e-book seller and coach will try to convince you to part with your money and learn all the secrets. I have nothing against e-books (owning a membership site myself) or coaches, but I always - always - suggest newcomers first spend some time reading the free areas of forums and blogs. You'll learn a lot. And, most importantly, you'll learn enough to make good buying decisions when the time IS write to pay for your education.

I hope that helps somewhat! If you do have any questions about affiliate marketing, be sure to ask on WF. My time is limited, so I can't be around all time time, but I'll watch out for them and lend a hand. Also, you'll find plenty of very clever chaps and chapesses here, who will also give you a hand.

I took the Screw95 course a couple weeks ago and I thought it laid a pretty good foundation for affiliate marketing. I know the methodology works so I affiliated with it, did a complete work up of why it works HERE . That was a completely free blog and although I was using aweber there you can set up a mail chimp account and basically build an email list and promote an affiliate product for free.

There are many way to learn affiliate marketing. Free one for starter always be in forum or search in Google + Youtube. Try to search who is gurus in affiliate marketing and follow on Facebook, twitter and his/her blog. I suggest you don't depend on affiliate marketing alone. I used to believe that way making money fast but I'm wrong. You need to be flexible and have knowledge at others too like email marketing, PPC and many more. I find the best model to go is by giving great content on blogs like what most of affiliate marketer do nowadays.
