How to upload a wordpress theme

i purchased a theme from templategraphy com but unable to use it.

    Are you talking about Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org?

    Wordpress.org is the universally used, self hosted CMS. If this is what you are referring to, this should help: Beginners Guide: How to Install a WordPress Theme

    To install a theme you go to Appearance - themes click (add new) and then click Upload theme, find the zip file containing the theme, make sure that the zip file only contains the theme, some times it contains more then the theme when you download the purchased theme file. If so:
    unzip the purchased file and right click on the theme folder, choose zip this file. and then your ready to install the theme.

      I was almost done typing the step by step instructions only to find out that Dbm811 beat me to it already. haha

    Just in case this happens to you like it does for me, when you have large themes like Optimize Press I had this problem when you try the instructions like in the links above what I got was an error on Hostmonster at least and it's something to do with file size you can probably get this with other big themes and plugins. So how I solve it is I go to control panel, then MY-DOMAIN.COM then go to Themes (or plugins if it's plugins) and upload the .ZIP file there, then I right click and unzip, then delete that file and I'm done.

    Just in case you run into this problem which I do, I thought I share my solution.
