Easy question about Launching your product!

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing good!

I have a little question that I've been wondering about these last days, I wanna start a product launch, to do exactly what Jeff Walker teachs people, I'm just wondering, is it necessary to show your face and identity as you do the launch and tell your story and all that stuff? Have anybody here done the launch without showing his face and identity?

For instance, if I want to do a launch in two different niches, how am I supposed to show my indentity as an expert in these two niches?

I hope you'll all get the idea and help me out to find a solution to this.

Thank you all!

  • On one of the niches you show you, on the other you can use pen name like in a book or you can hire the expert (make some % deal) or you can use a virtual expert to be the face, remember "Rich Jerk" who was that guy, but that cartoon sold millions of ebooks. I'm sure there are other ways.

I was think about the same problem and one idea I was bouncing is to use nick/midle name for my other niche, right now I don't need it since I just sell CPA offers and just have landers right into offer but I was thinking to build some content and wasn't sure how to name it then I though I"ll use my name just different version of it because people call me different things so I can change it a bit for that niche just enough so it doesn't come up when you search for my exact name.

After all that one thing that I think you over look 99% of the people are not going to connect the 2 niches of that I"m certain if they are far apart, for example I know 2 guys with the same name in 2 niches, there is no way I would by accident find them in those 2 remote niches however I did and and found one by going to panel for automatics the other guy is in Real Estate what are the odds of that happening again? In any case I think it can be done, just come up with a well thought out strategy first. Good luck.

I've seen some successful launches of software for example where there was no one specific behind it, only the name of the software company...
But in general I'd advice you to use your face and story at least in one of these niches.
You can use a pen name for the other one.
    Good luck

But straight away you take away a big part of the trust. Why are you not putting your name and face to the product? It will effect high ticket items for sure. As a rule of thumb the money money you ask for the more trust is needed. i mean $10,000+ for high ticket not a few hundred.

A good story sells, if it's linked to a face even better. On the Internet visual identity is important and if you aim to sell something then you have to vouch somehow for it. A real persona telling a story is one of the most powerful convincing tools on the market, mostly because people empathize with each other. So, yes, using your identity could be a plus in your launching campaign. Good luck!

I would advice you to show your face, it can create a personal and human feel to it all!

Here's a crazy idea, but it just might work...

On Product A, you're out there front and center as the owner. On Product B, you launch it under a pen name and "hire" yourself as a "paid spokesperson". It works on infomercials, why not Walker-style pre-launch content?

It really depends upon the type of product.

Info products are getting harder to promote without being a real person with a real story behind it. In this case, launch it for free at first, to acquire testimonies. Then relaunch it as paid.

Membership products/courses can be done through a brand, if you bring on other people's products (or use PLR), and have other expert instructors. But you are usually going to split commissions or share leads. And this will dilute your profits.

Physical products really depend upon drop-shipping, ebay, allibaba etc. You can do this as affiliate. Or if you label your own, then you might hire a local marketer or ad agency to help you brand it.

Remember it's not who has the best product, it's who markets the product the best.

I have seen awesome salespages where I watched an entire video all the way to the end but never saw a face but it was a product laser targeted to my needs. I think you should at the very least have a photo of yourself and something personal like "contact me with any questions of if you just want to chat!"

Too many times I have seen a product I was interested in but no way to contact through the salespages and that is a deal breaker for me.

I find it better to show my face. People will be interested on who is behind the product rather than watching a presentation. Don't be afraid (which I think you are not) and just be confident with what you can offer.

I guess showing at least yourself in video (in intro) especially will definitely make your customer more engage with you in future. I do find watching gurus like Remit Sethi, Jeff Walker, Ryan Diess make me wannabe like them. kinda motivation for others. Good luck in your product launch!
