How to get high gravity on Clickbank

Hey guys

Correct me if I'm wrong but looks like Clickbank's gravity is linked with affiliate sales.

But what do you do if you're new and don't have any affiliates yet?

Doesn't it become a chicken or egg thing?

You need affiliates for high gravity.

But you need high gravity to attract affiliates.

What's a man to do?

I asked because there are two ways to do it that people do it internally outside of a launch...but if your product is not even approved there is no point in me talking about it

          Yeah man it's approved.

So there's definitely a point in you talking about it

It's not as simple as that. You're in very good company, though, in thinking so, because many people imagine that there's a correlation between gravity numbers and sales numbers. There isn't at all. There are even single-figure-gravity products steadily outselling three-figure-gravity products, and there are reasons for that.

These posts/threads explain it in much more detail, and include some real examples of "how it works" ...

Affiliates who are attracted by "high gravity" are the ones you don't need: they're among the 95% of affiliates who sell very little at all. The only ones you really need are the 5% of affiliates who collectively make over 95% of the affiliate-referred sales. Don't imagine that "high gravity" will attract those affiliates: it will either not be relevant to us at all, or even actively put some of us off (yes, really!).

Attracting serious, pro-affiliates is a big and complicated subject (very widely discussed in the forum: try using the search function to isolate the Main Marketing Forum threads with the word "affiliates" in their titles, and after doing some sorting/selection, you'll find many threads full of advice). Trying to boost your product's gravity is not the way forward.

      Wow.

      Heavy!

      Thanks

I'm reading all the threads you linked to - and will search the forum for affiliate related threads.

Meanwhile - if I were to ask you..

"What would be the top 3 strategies for attracting super affiliates - in your opinion?"

      .. what would you say?

LOL - "it's heavy-duty, man": I suspect "ClickBank gravity" is one of the most widely misunderstood things in the whole of Internet Marketing, to be honest. It's not a parameter I care for at all, myself (though I admit that high gravities do actually put me off, as an affiliate, and that all my bestselling and best-converting products - throughout a really wide range of niches - seem to have single-figure gravities, and I think there are reasons for that).

That will all probably help you a lot more than asking me three strategies, because it's late at night here, and I'm very tired, and am not a vendor anyway, and I'll probably only go and forget something absolutely fundamental and make a mess of answering, and besides all that I'm not even sure I know the answer anyway.

That's the most counter intuitive thing I've ever read on this forum.

Would never have thought in a million years.

      Blows my mind away.

That's like 5 different reasons for escaping the spotlight

You jumped on stage. Now there's no backing out!

It doesn't have to the be "right" answer that fits everyone.

Just share your thought process on how you choose products to promote.

Man I'm as good as I can be.

I give them 75% commissions - even on the backend.

100% commissions for super affiliates that do media buys or email drops.

And I provide tools from emails to tweets to ads - even a customizable free report for their blog posts/ articles.

      .......

If it were to me - I'd hire playboy bunnies to visit my affiliates..

Give them a hot massage, feed them chocolate covered strawberries and bathe them in champagne.

But you know that's not possible.

Because clickbank doesn't share the affiliate's address!

How would the bunnies get there?

It would be the best commission-deal I've been offered, I have to say.

You'll have to work out a way, somehow ... according to plenty of threads in the Off Topic Forum, here, they've got as far as Mars.

Affiliates' houses surely shouldn't be too difficult?
