Fake clicks - attack on my campaign - somone is spamming my links with junk traffic

I advertise a product (PPC - AdWords).

Someone is sending MASSIVE amounts of traffic through my links, which results in corrupted stats (ROI etc').
I'm assuming that is their aim, because otherwise they just waste bandwidth.

I'd like to know how you guys deal with it, it's not a new thing for sure.

I want to note that I still don't know if the "clicks" are from a single IP or not. For now I assume they're not (which makes it harder to resolve).

Which tracking software/service provides a way to combat such a flood of traffic?
How do/did you deal with that?

Find a better traffic source. When you use junk traffic sources, you get junk traffic.

      Clearly didn't read the post...

How much is a flood of traffic? Marketing on Google is no joke when it comes to traffic.

Are you using a tracking of some sort?

Because most tracking tool should give you data on IPs. Google analytic will also provide you with some data on bounce rate and so on.

The reason why I ask is because the first thing you want to do make sure they are REAL HUMAN clicks... A flood of traffic is normal when it comes to advertising on Adwords.

    The traffic source is AdWords.

Get yourself something like Clicky. Monitor repeat clicking from IPs. (Be sure to exclude your own IP). Now simply exclude those IPs in Adwords from seeing your campaigns.

Sorry, I edited the post, it really wasn't mentioned there, he did read it. Thanks though!

I am about to start using tracking software, can you recommend one?

Thanks, I'll definitely look into it.

I believe the attacker do not click on AdWords ads, but rather bypasses it, he clicks on the links behind it.
So for example, if an ad points to Example Domain then he'd click on that, and not on the original ad that was shown at AdWords.

And, when I say he "clicks", I mean he has an army of bots or whatever, because every day I get a few thousands of "clicks".
