I'm an Amazon Seller and Affiliate. Is that kosher?
So I started a site last month to sell stuffs through Amazon's affiliate program. No worries there. Sales are starting to trickle in and traffic/SERP rankings are gaining some traction. However, today I got paid from my day job and since I had a little extra fun money from working some overtime, I decided I'd try my hand at drop-shipping.
I created my seller account and found a little $15 product I could make a nice 30% profit on while still being the lowest price on the market. 3 hours later with still only one product up, I've earned $100 profit. I've decided I really like this drop-shipping thing.
Now I'm wondering if it would be ok if I have products from my own Amazon store on my affiliate site. In other words, if I could have my affiliate code in a link to a product that I'm selling. Is this legal? If so, would it make a difference in how much I get paid, or would Amazon automatically pick one or the other?
