Hi John Kings,

What's next?

The word Roger will get changed to King.

And if anyone whinges in the forum, instead of being able to read their words the reader will hear some relaxing music mixed with natural sounds like running water and bird-song, backed up with pleasant slideshows of natural landscape scenes.

  Even worse - he said he wanted to clean up the forum so he was getting the cats in. Eek!
  
  Apparently Allen was going to go ahead with my King plan, but at the last moment he discovered a forum member from the Orient called Wan Roger, and decided to spare his blushes.

Funny, in a way, but there's a problem.

For members who have these words (gu-ru and black-hat) in their username:

- When you click on their profile link, you get a "user not registered" page.

- From there, if you change the "new username" to the "initial username" in the
URL, you can access their profile page, but when trying to send him/her a PM
you have to change the "new username" to the "initial username" in the "Recipient
Username(s)" field, otherwise you get a "user not found" message.

So not sure these members find this funny.

Must have been fixed. They work fine now, which is good. That would be an unfortunate side effect.

I think the overall goal - putting a damper on "Goober" bashing threads - is a useful thing. It seems that folks don't listen well when they're allowed the option of continuing in bad habits. So...

I am not really worried about the username but it is the URL I am wanting to fix.

Or just redirect it to your original site so people get where they expect to go. I'd presume from Allen's "sorry about that" comment above he'd be fine with it.
