Well I personally find that article distribution and forum marketing work great!

Article Distribution - create articles of at least 600 words - focus on answering solutions to peoples problems in the industry - start by using this very forum to know what questions they ask and do your research to create said article. Distribute across article directories and always make sure you have a resource box at the end of each article which leads back to your blog.

Forum Marketing - Start answering peoples questions, leave valuable comments or ask intelligent questions to start a thread. Make sure you put a lot of thought into what your write to give people a good enough reason to click on your signature. One final thing with forums, make sure you do this with active and busy forums only

    Good luck

Social media is a good way to start. Join sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook (based on which would work best for your blog) and start socialising with people. Send out a link to your blog posts every now and then to generate traffic.

Also make sure that your site and your blog content is SEO friendly so that it ranks high on search engines. Having good quality post lengths will be very important for this. You can see a list of how Google determines page ranking on searches here.

No - I'm afraid not; not at all.

"Distributing across article directories" is a really poor, counter-productive method that's actually based only on a fundamental but rather widespread misunderstanding of how article directories work. For all the reasons explained in this post, no article marketer would want to try to generate potential customer/subscriber traffic from an article directory to their own site, because that necessarily entails losing a lot of traffic which would otherwise have gone straight to their own site. Emphatically not recommended.

This thread explains how article directories work, and what they're for: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

There's reddit, stumbleupon and always use hashtags. If you post daily people looking for them will see your posts come up regularly.

I have a few strategies. Obviously having unique content and basic SEO is a neccesity, but I like to use my content for all it's worth...

Turn articles into PDF report- upload onto top do sharing sites ( slideshare.net, docstoc.com, scribd.com etc)

Turn articles into videos - upload to top video sharing sites (YouTube, dailymotion, vimeo, etc.)

Turn multiple articles into ebook - upload to ebook directories.

    Hope this helps.

If you are too eager or hurrying in getting traffic, try social media. You get visitors within a day or two but very low and inconsistent. I have a bot that blasts to social media groups in seconds and it brings instant traffic.

If you are patience and if you are targeting long term, do SEO.

if you already have a list I would direct them to the blog. These people will be more inclined to read your blog because its really targeted.

Get them to share the content on social media sites.

If your content is of high value people will share.

That is how you get even more traffic with the traffic you already own.

If you just stay constant by creating one SEO blog sot a day, you will eventually get A LOT of quality traffic. Blogging takes time, but it is one of the best traffic methods.

By far my best traffic method is video marketing to get more sales. Create a Youtube channel and create at least 3 videos a week based on your topic.

It will create target leads and you will build relationships really quickly

It depends on your niche, for instant if you are in an entertainment niche, in this case tumbleupon, facebook would be the best, if you are following a micro niche, twitter and adwords are best choice.

When first starting out, you won't have a huge social media following or any following at all. So I would suggest you to post on forums and comment on blogs in your niche. If you want more in depth detail you can check out this article: How to Get Traffic to Your Blog/Website Fast

I'm not a blogging guru by any stretch, but I have been blogging for over a year.

    You want my honest advice?

Create content that doesn't suck, and then people will read it and enjoy it.

If they read it and enjoy it, they'll share it with their friends.

(My latest blog post has been shared over 50 times, and it isn't even that great lol).

But, at least it's great enough for people to warrant reading it and sharing it.

    Hope this helps.

(Create content for HUMANS, and NOT for SEO Robots).

Social media is one method that can work. You can set up a FaceBook Page, FaceBook Group (and join existing groups), get involved on YahooGroups, GoogleGroups and other forums (use a signature), use Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, GooglePlus etc. cross-post from each to the others, keep posting interesting content, get involved in discussions, help other in relevant topic areas, etc.

Article Syndication or guest posting on other blogs is another approach, I haven't tried it myself yet, but in theory it seems to make sense, and others say they are having success with these approaches.

    Hope that helps

The best way if you are on a budget is to just crank out original well written articles helping visiting searching for those key phrases. If you can provide quality information search engines will crawl your website and index you. Help the people that are your visitors and in return you will get supplied with the right thing in return which is traffic.

What's your blog about? If your blog is photo intensive, you might have more success by pinning your images on Pinterest and We Heart It and any other site that lets you share a photo. You will have the chance to include a link back to the original image on your site.

If you want to get traffic to your blog, there are numerous ways you can do it. You can post quality original content on your blog and from there attract organic traffic from the search engines. You can also Guest Blog on other websites related to your niche that already have an audience. You can also do video marketing and forum marketing. I know many bloggers who just post quality useful information and do just fine. If you are trying to trick the search engines by spamming in order to promote your site, it will be ineffective and in the long run nobody will be visiting your blog. The key to blogging is to be consistent with useful information in your target market.

Stop relying on SEO for traffic, which will be sporadic and random anyway and start focusing on making real connections with potential site visitors via forums and social networking sites (Google+, Twitter, Facebook groups). Establish yourself as an expert for your niche so that people will turn to you for answers.
