    Shared hosting? Bluehost.com

    VPS? beyondhosting.net

    Domain? Godaddy.com / Namecheap.com

What I like to do is search for deals. Use google and enter something like "Godaddy Coupons October 2014"

I use Godaddy for both, as it keeps things all in one place, making it simpler for me to manage stuff.

Domain names are well priced at 'namecheap.'

As for hosting it depends on what your looking for.

If it's cheap what you want, then look in the hosting section of this forum or use sites like Hawkhost, site 5 and so on..

They are all reasonably well priced and offer shared hosting.

I use digital ocean and also have an account at hawkhost.

Both have worked really well for me so far.

Whichever companies you choose, be sure to keep your hosting separate from where you register your domain. That way, if you ever have an issue with your host and they suspend your account, you can easily switch the domain to another host and continue doing business.

I agree with Frank , Domain name provider should be different from hosting provider.

For hosting, there's a lot of cheap hosting, which usually won't be good hosting.

ServerHub has some of the best free hosting I've tried, and it's better than some of the hosting that others here are paying for. ServerHub | Dedicated Servers, Cloud Servers and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - Built on the ServerHub Platform

There's also iPage, Fatcow, and other EIG clone hosts that offer specials like what is mentioned in my signature where you can get hosting and a domain for $9.

You might be able to google "99 cent domain" and see an advertisement like I did below for Godaddy. If that's the case, then you can get a 99 cent domain name. It will depend on if you're in the market they're advertising to.

    Hope this can help.

GoDaddy and Host Gator are your best choices as already mentioned here. I did a search for a coupon for GoDaddy and got my domain name for 99 cents. You can't beat that and Host Gator is very user friendly.

Agreed, cheap and good should never be in the same sentence!

Moreover, the price difference between "cheap" and "good" isn't really that much. Sure you can get a $1 website from GoDaddy, but you can get a c3.large EC2 instance from Amazon Web Services for under $50/month, the same company that hosts Netflix, Pinterest, Airbnb and Amazon.com itself.

Actually, I am not recommending AWS for anyone without technical knowledge, but I'm just pointing out that the cost difference between cheap hosting and great hosting is minimal in the grand scheme of things. Personally, given how important my website is to my business -- in fact my website is my business -- I'd rather pay an extra $50/month (or even $400/month in my case) for something I knew would be stable, secure and high performing.

There may be things I'm willing to cheap out on in order to save a few bucks, but web hosting isn't one of them.

Godaddy for hosting is a big no!!! Sooner or later you will run in problems and if your site is making money, then when it is supposed to make big bucks, your site will be down. You can say same for hostgator. Site5 i used for few months, but they are kind enough to wait me to solve issues. I moved all my stuff to VPS that is managed by me and it runs smooth as Vaseline.

I've tried plenty of hosting companies, actually a lot, and one company I always stick with is iPage.

Great customers service, and easy to use interface is the perfect solution for anybody online.

For the hosting, I've had no problems with HostGator. And as several above have said, keep the domain name provider and the hosting account separate.

Hosting is a really complicated one, shared / vps / dedicated? SSD or non SSD? Do you want a site builder? If you think bigger => reliable then this is a good reference: hosting companies market share

Domain is relatively simple. I always recommend domcomp.com. It compares prices among biggest providers with coupon information.

I always recommend namecheap and hostgator.
Bluehost is run by the same people as hostgator I believe.

Especially when it comes to hosting, be really careful. A lot of hosting companies make the process way too complicated for most people who need a website. Be sure whatever hosting you get has cpanel.

Like others have said, it can be smart to keep your domain registrar and your host separate, and GoDaddy is generally what people use. Now in terms of hosting, as others have also said, it is based on what kind of hosting you need. There is shared hosting, VPS hosting, cloud, dedicated servers. I would avoid any EIG hosting companies (which includes Blue Host, HostGator and a variety of others). This is just a hosting conglomerate that looks at clients as a number rather than a valuable customer. I have worked with a number of smaller hosting companies that are quite reliable and have great service.

Shared Hosting (which seems like it might be what you're looking for) Ahosting.net or Nexcess
    VPS - Future Hosting
    Cloud - Atlantic.net

    Hope this helps.
