How many of you use adblockers?

Hey guys,

With the Warrior Forum, DigitalPoint and a number of other IM sites offering advertising platforms to reach people in the IM audience, which a large number of people use to target people with WSOs and other IM products....

I was wondering:

- Internet Marketers are generally internet savvy users

- How many of use you adblockers?

And if you do or do not, why?

There was a cartoon youtube video parodying an adblock plus advert saying "The internet finally found a sustainable business model to provide content for free to users and we want to put an end to that."

I'm sure some people out there running IM niche sites with adsense must be feeling some kind of squeeze from the fact that the audience is probably using adblockers.

What do you guys think?

I'd be interested to know

    I use adblockers all day.

I do everything I can to tighten security. (NoScript + AdBlockPlus are a great start).

Naturally, since I'm also a marketer, I do NOT activate adblockers on warriorforum (because I love to see what my peers are advertising around here) hehe.

      This.

I use adblockers on all sites except the Warriorforum. Great to see who is advertising and what they are advertising, we want to learn here.

  • I use adblockers on most sites, but I have an exception on sites where I want to see what is being advertised including forums like this one and a few blogs.

For the most part adblockers aren't as prevalent as you may think as there are still many thousands of marketers and companies making a ton of money in the billion dollar+ market that is advertising online.

    I block "pop" ads.

I want to see advertising. Why would you block yourself from what's going on in your chosen industry?

When I advertised in print publications I studied every ad in every publication. I learned a lot that way. I still do.

Advertising and more specifically ads, have been a huge part of my life for most of it.

    I'm an enthusiast!
