Does anyone here still use EzineArticle for traffic?

Hi Warriors,

I'm wondering is Ezine Article still a great source of traffics? Is anyone here still using ezine article for their traffic?

I'm not asking this in term of SEO, but in term of traffic generation.

    Nope. Ezine Articles is NOT a great source of traffic for a single article. You would be much better off publishing the article as a guest post on an authority site.

      I agree with Brendan. I used Ezinearticles regularly about 3 years ago and got some good results. However, once Google begun it's Penguin, Panda and Hummingbird updates so much of SEO changed, mainly for the worse.

    My own experience has been that is ezinearticles.com traffic has been tremendously reduced. However, things can always change and it might be worth experimenting to see if you are more successful.

      Thank you for your opinion, does make a lot of sense since Google algo changes a lot of search result, totally different from a few years before.

      Thanks, maybe I'll start publishing a few articles for testing the traffics, let see does it convert.. haha

    No, not personally.

    Can EZA still be a good source of traffic? Yes. Gone are the days of using it to rank for numerous long-tails, though. And even back when you could do that, it was never the best approach. If you're interested in EZA, you're interested in article syndication, and for as long as there is a need for written content, there will be article syndication and it will be driving traffic.

    Is article syndication the best use of your writing prowess? No. But if you're new to the industry, it can be a simple means of generating targeted traffic, and result in relatively passive income.

      Let's put it this way: nobody who understands how article directories work and what they're there for is trying to use Ezine Articles for traffic. That isn't its purpose. Trying to use it for that purpose would be counter-productive and could easily do you more harm than good.

      The fact that EZA's own traffic has fallen so dramatically (and that really is a "fact") is good for article marketers, not bad for us.

      It's easy to imagine that you're getting potential customer traffic from an article directory, when what you're really doing is bringing about a situation in which those visitors go to EZA instead of directly to your own site - and (since your click-through rate from EZA to your own site is always less than 100%) you just lose some (probably "most") of them.

      This is where Google helped us article marketers out with all their Panda updates, by decimating the SEO potential of EZA's pages (and every other article directory's pages), thus enabling us to use EZA for its proper purpose without the former problem that potential customers might find those copies of our articles.

      This post explains why no article marketer would ever want to try to use EZA to generate traffic to their website.

    Writing the articles for getting traffic is not the only task, managing it properly is also a very important point. As, there are many folks, who use this technique for driving traffic and they are also publishing a new, unique content, so what new you have to do, is another question that one should have to face as well as think.
