Hi Guys,

We Run a Airport parking comparison website here in the UK,

i see a lot of places to gain Affiliates to sell WSO'S and ebooks etc, but what is the best way to get Affiliates on-board with products such as ours?

Any advice will be great!

You'll make most of your money from 1-3% of your affiliates. Your whales. Getting affiliates, then, can be a case of being selective, getting your whales, or opening yourself up to all and sundry.

To get affiliates quick, look to establishing yourself with a network. Peerfly, for instance.

To go it alone, you'll need to either speak to the right people and encourage them to connect you with affiliates, super affiliates, or take a simpler but more expensive route and lay down some cash (a lot) by promoting yourself on webmaster boards.

Another option is to find traffic platforms that have a high - but non-competing presence - and offer them a referral commission for sending you their affiliates.

    Hi,

Thanks For the post Get Rich,

Ok maybe i should look for UK networks and speak to them about getting on there books, the problem is i see most are geared towards selling ebooks and digital products not so many seem to have products\service like ours?

    Take a look at Peerfly.

I could recommend many other networks, but I think you'll be a good fit for them.

Affiliate marketing means having your own sites and sending your traffic to someone else site to buy their resources or product or services, and for each and every sales you will be awarded or you earn some percentage which known to be an affiliate sales commission. So, for that you have to follow some important tactics such as creating your own site or blog, decide your resources niche, find the products and services to promote etc.

peerfly is that not USA only?

Donaldelder: We already have a website and gain sales via PPC etc just we want to expand.

so we are looking for methods to get people to promote for us and take a % of each sale

for example if someone signs a traffic agent up and they promote our parking they get a cut of each sale made for life.

so just trying to find the right places to get the right people.

Peerfly is international - one of the biggest affiliate networks, in fact - with an exemplary reputation. I do great business with them and have yet to find a support team who can match them on professionalism. You'll notice a lot of exciting enhancements to their business, too. They're one of those affiliate networks that always seem to be in enhancement mode - always eager to hone, polish, perfect, and surprise us with something new, often something different. I'm a fan, you can tell. ha

Hi It's a service, (airport parking)

In my opinion, affiliates are not necessarily what you need. You need a robust marketing strategy. How does the site make money? What is the offer for the affiliate? Your site is very niche, and although I am not an expert, I am struggling to see the margins on this. Get a marketing expert and develop a robust strategy that involves FB advertising, etc. From listening deeper to your question, your real question seems to be "How can we make money from this?". This should have been established before you developed the site. Good luck with it.

The site is already Making Money we use PPC and yes facebook ads are included in that, however having someone contacting Travel Agents and getting them to sell our parking packages is another way to get bookings so we need a team to do that, we of course are looking into as many ways to get bookings as we can.

You can look for them in Google by searching for reviews that are connected to what you are offering. But before you contact them make sure that...

    1. You drive traffic to your offer.

    2. Made it convert.

    3. Optimized your campaign to convert.

And once you're EPC or Conversion is decent enough, contact affiliates showing your stats including refund rates. (most affiliates are stats crazy).

    4. Offer 100% commission on the front end and 50% for the rest of the funnel (I once saw a marketer doing a 100% 3 levels deep and 50% on his recurring).

    5. Lastly, a GOOD OFFER! (can't stress this enough)

Personally, I don't look for affiliates pro actively because they are great and bad all in the same sentence.

Great because they bring incredible amounts of traffic for free.

Bad because you can't really rely on them all the time and they are unpredictable.

Or...you can just follow what was advised above and advertise using CPA networks.

Great way is at conferences... AdTech in NYC is coming up first week of November and pretty much all of the major affiliates will be there. AdTech is one of the biggest shows for this space so if you have the budget I'd try to make it there. Personal connection is always #1

On a separate note I wish you well with your airport car parking comparison site. In my opinion charges are very high UK, so a comparison site is a great idea.

Affiliates are a multiplier effect on your existing efforts. If you've already done your ground work it's like pouring an accelerant on a fire. If you haven't, you're pissing in the ocean.

    1. Make sure you have a product/service/solution/sacrificial goat that people want.

    2. Figure out who wants it.

    3. Put it in front of those people and PROVE that's the case. Track your efforts, get numbers.

    4. Find people who have an audience that looks like your target market.

    5. Put together sales materials to convince those people that your offer will make them more money than anything else they could do.

Consider this compared to the standard belief of most product owners who think -

"It's the affiliate's job to figure out who wants it and how to sell it." - Its not

"How can I prove it without getting affiliates, its a catch 22!" - Nor this

"If I have a good product, they will come." - They won't

Bottom line. If you can't sell it, no one else will want to.

    ---

If you're not particularly economically inclined. Stop reading here and go do steps 1-5. If you'd like some insight into the "why", keep reading

The economic scarcity of the internet is traffic. Whoever controls it (*cough* Google) can do what they like, advertise what they like and make shittons of money.

As a product owner, you play your part but you are in competition with everyone else who has an offer they want people to promote.

Money moves in the direction of the scarce. Traffic is scarce.

On the flip side, the scarce resources moves in the direction of the best it can achieve. If you could push a button and send 1000 hot prospects to any offer you wanted. Would you send it to one that made you $1 a click or one that made you $2 a click?

    No brainer right?

Once you have the best offer out there, traffic sources FLOOD to you. Every affiliate wants to promote you. You basically can't stop it if you wanted to (though I'm not sure why you would).

Create the best offer out there and make the most money for affiliates out there and everything else will pretty much take care of itself.

You could approach other travel related bloggers, people who own blogs that have a similar but not identical subject. You could pitch the affiliate idea to these people as they are likely to want to promote a related product. These travel bloggers would have good reason to promote your site as well as a built in audience of willing visitors.

Wow, the amount of horrible advice had me laughing.

You have a business right? You sell a service through a website. Who are the businesses related to yours where you can connect with those people and offer them a portion of revenue they generate?

Internet affiliates are great, but bigger, more successful real world businesses can be even better. Just something to think about anyway.

As far as your online stuff goes, do you have a funnel that's converting at a specific amount? Once you know that number you can list on CPA networks for to pay for leads or commissions and they'll help recruit affiliates for you.

You can look into connecting with travel bloggers and websites too, but instead I'd be asking... how can you attract those people? And that's where you start looking into influencing people and I'd need a big check to answer those questions, nothing personal. But that's not the stuff you share on an open forum unless you want to see it ripped and sold as WSO of the day next week, lol.

My best advice would be too look at expanding your business and your real world contacts, as settling up with just one or two of the right companies can massively increase your sales with the right joint venture partners.

One of the best ways to get affiliates is to post a link to your affiliate program on your site.

You can add a link at the bottom and even better, at the top.
