Do you have a central philosophy for your business?

Most offline businesses have a central philosophy, a phrase or motto that guides all actions and this same principle can be applied to any online business. After all, you're not just selling products, you're helping people.

Here are a few examples of famous central philosophies.

Ritz-Carlton's "We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen," or Mayo Clinic's "The needs of the patient come first."

You can articulate a central philosophy in just a few meaningful words. First, make a decision about what your company actually stands for and then express it in the clearest way possible. This philosophy will become the driving force behind your company culture, something all your employees can rally behind and a guiding light for future decisions that you make about your company's growth/direction.

What is your central philosophy or the phrase that best encapsulates your beliefs about your internet marketing business?

I'm actually in the process of thinking of one for my soon to launch blog.

I don't want to rush the decision as I feel that its really important.

It will also be my blog tagline and main title of what my blog stands for.

I would say that I have by far more than one. The one That is written across my wall in the office is "We Bring Technology to Life" ( I am a web designer ) As far as metal hits the road type of philosophy I tend to follow "2x the work 8X the profit" meaning if you put the work in up front that makes your project that much more than it "Could be" you will see the rewards on the back end

P.M. me and I will throw a bunch of ideas out there. For free, for fun.

I have a knack for this and years of it.

And, yeah, it can absolutely make or break you, so take your time.

    My central philosophy is simple.

It's to truly care about my end users.

As someone who's worked in the technology sector... I know the frustration that people endure when things don't go their way, especially in their business.

So my sole incentive is to HELP people the best I can, because they truly appreciate it when someone actually cares about their success.

Little soundbites are great ways to explain the culture and philosophy.

So, for me, such things as 'we pay the most to attract the best'.' inspires new applicants.

And 'We do everything better than anyone else does anything' Cocky internal credo

'Better than anything you have ever done before' succinctly describes one of our products.

Vision Statement: 'We will become one of the most effective fundraising entities in the world. '

      more:

We have an unbreakable moral and ethical code. We will only ever do what is the right thing to do.

We are dedicated to making the world a kinder, gentler, smarter, better place.

We understand that the most important part of any successful business is the people who operate it. We will only work with those who we feel are worthy of it--that is, unless we like and respect and trust a person, we won't work with them.

Dozens more, a handbook filled with them.

      For 'Internet Marketing'? Easy:

      'First, do no harm.'

A business philosophy doesn't always show up in a tag line or sound bite. Sometimes it's a guiding principle (or set of them) that stays private but that customers sense and respond to.

Some years ago, I asked my newsletter subscribers if they had a "philosophy." Some of their answers were really interesting and quite diverse:

        Enjoy the read!

You've got more philosophies (I counted 8) than Carter's got Little Liver Pills! So, as the OP asked, what's your one central philosophy? Do you really need more than one?

My philosophy is to be part of the 1% of marketers who say how things are done without any hype or B.S like most others out there.

When I started I didn't know where to start because all of the useless information people who are only trying to sell write about.

I am grateful that I was able to find mentors to help grow in my IM career and I want to be the same for other people.

I just want to tell them exactly what I do to get results and how they can do the same.

Also I want to clean this industry and educate people that posting their links on Facebook groups are only degrading the industry and spamming people's walls. (Just an example)

Besides educating people on the IM topic I also focus strongly on helping people change their mindset from an employee to entrepreneur one and show them that it is possible for THEM to create the life of their dreams.

I have several different philosophies. One slogan I use for proofreading is this -
"I find the mistakes others miss."

Not bad for somebody with one good eye. (I don't mention this bit though.)

I believe in helping others and giving good value for money. I'm told I undercharge and that may change soon, still thinking about it.

I don't accept a job if I can't give it 100%, regardless of how much money I can make from it.

I think they are my two best ones. I may add more later.

I like to keep it simple.

    For Get Rich Methods:

Try to help every last member make more money than every non-member.

    For my other businesses:

Try to make more money then every competitor.
