Hi folks,
I'm preparing a download (e-book, video and a few other bits) aimed at a specific problem. The content is aimed at the UK market. As well as offering it through my own channel I wondered whether there was any scope for affiiliate opportunities based in the UK. I've heard of Clickbank but that looks like it as an international flavour. Where else should I be looking? (would rather it was uncomplicated).

It does, but that's because the web is international. It also has many more or less UK-specific products (as well as others more or less specific to other countries because of their languages).

You perhaps want to find some affiliates with UK-specific subscriber-lists? But don't assume that the affiliates themselves, or the networks housing/retailing the products they promote, are also necessarily UK-based, themselves, just because they're involved in some "UK niches". Just saying.

I would go with ClickBank. You can have the price set in pounds. And the nice thing is that it handles all of the VAT issues for you automatically.

The key is to just get up and running. If it takes off and as you get more experienced you might find other options for future products or to move your current product to.

Plus as Alexa says, ClickBank allows affiliates to find you and promote your product without you having to get directly involved. Just make sure you give them a good commission and provide them with plenty of Affiliate Marketing Tools to make their job easier. E.g. e-mails, articles, banner ads etc.

Splendid advice chaps. Knowing I can set in £'s and find fellows through a distribution network will give it a bit more of a chance to get through to those who need it.
