Membership Site or Newsletter or Ebook? Help please

I am finalizing the last few elements of my product and I was about to go with a membership website as planned, but after doing some research the ideas of or benefits or transforming my course to a newsletter or really long eBook started to interest me.

I could go with the website which will have original content and plr training videos within it. All of the content would be in the site and their would be no eBook, but there would be a brief newsletter until someone signed up

or

Sign someone up and they would receive chapters of the ecourse once a week for about 20 weeks. My only issue is how to send them the plr training videos

Lastly,

Would be just a really long eBook (300 pages) all at once. Again, I'm not sure how I would do the videos.

Thanks for all the help in advance!

Why don't you do a test survey in your mailing list to see what would be the preferred option?

You could do the membership site (which would allow you to add videos) and then add premium content through newsletters and ebooks to make extra $

Just curious....what specifically changed your mind from creating a membership site and doing an eBook instead?

Figure out exactly what your prospects prefer, then give them that. What's they're more likely to buy a 300 page ebook or a membership site, what's more comfortable for them? What prospects wants vary from niche to niche...so ye like Andre said you can survey your prospects if you have a list already.

Asked them hey I'm about to release a new product, your opinion matters (if you can give them a gift for taking survey it's better - or those who take it get a discount, whatever), then ask simple questions, e.g. Would you prefer a) a 300 page ebook, b) a membership site c) get the content via email bit by bit.

I could go with the website which will have original content and plr training videos within it. All of the content would be in the site and their would be no eBook, but there would be a brief newsletter until someone signed up
You have to try to know for sure what will work best. A membership site is good approach of course.

Sign someone up and they would receive chapters of the ecourse once a week for about 20 weeks. My only issue is how to send them the plr training videos
Put videos on membership site, then give them link in email to go and view the video.

Of all these I probably would choose to do a membership site, since it seems your products consists of lots of content and videos. I don't like 300 page ebooks, and providing the content within 20 weeks bit by bit sounds weirdo.

With so much content/video as long as it's high quality you can also consider a home study course.

My advice is to go with your original plan - membership site. In my opinion it's the best choice of all (and most profitable).

The 300-page eBook plan is out of the question.

I would start off with the membership site and then send out a survey to see what your subscribers want.Once you get the survey results back you can them implement an ebook etc
If you have a good list your members would be more then happy to provide feedback.

Just remember that with membership sites, you're going to get churn. Depending on how much value your site is providing, your churn can be very high - something you have to consider.

Take into consideration your pricing and what would make more sense on the business end.

If you really do have some really valuable stuff worth paying monthly for, then membership idea isn't bad.

If it's something buyers will get most value from 1 month of usage and feel contempt cancelling, then maybe the single product is the better option.

If you can sell the product at $49, but opt to sell memberships at $7/month and get 1-2 month churns from your members, you're leaving a lot of money on the table.

Just things to consider. Memberships are only a great business model if people stick around.

Instant gratification is a big part of the seller-buyer relationship. There is a big rush when someone buys a product and has all of the info they want, the info that could lead to their new life, in their hands as one report/ebook.

Along with the fact that membership sites require a constant feed of new content, I'd say go with the all-in-one ebook.

I don't see why not set up all 3 on one website and let the consumer pick what they want, you can offer it as one full ebook, hopefully with links all over the ebook to keep them coming back to you.

You can offer it in a auto-responder loaded to go out every week, or combine that with the posting and have the membership post it on a blog and send it out as often as you want.

You will learn what your customer base likes and for future projects might know how to deliver what they want, how they want it.

I say let the consumer choose, these days with wordpress and a few good plugins you can do it all lol

    good luck

No matter what product you have, or even if your selling it giving it away to build a list.

Entrenching it behind a log in system, adds value, and adds a layer of protection from illegal downloads.

No matter the product or the strategy, every site or business I own is built on delivering my product or service in an exclusive members area, Not just for the ease of product delivery but because the login system itself is of huge marketing benefit for after sales follow up.

    But I'm biased...
