Looking for monetization ideas for a new venture

Hello Warrior friends, this is my first post and looking for some marketing and monetization ideas for a new project I am working on.

I have a niche website around for 10 years with a loyal membership of around 30,000 and active discussion forum. I average 1,000 unique visitors a month and have social media presence such as 13,000 members of my linkedin group. I distribute a weekly digest newsletter to a list of around 20,000 subscribers.

The last two years I have run a one day online conference which has been a series of a 12 educational webinars (gotowebinar) delivered by experts and have attracted 1,500 registrants. Free to attend and expert presenters did it for free. The event has been a great success and there is nothing like it in my niche. This will carry on once per year. The big annual online conference.

To take this further I have decided to do a 1 hour weekly educational webinar and I already have a schedule of presenters and presentations for next year. Again it is free to attend and free to present. Most of the presenters are consultants, trainers, academics and general members.

In the niche I'm in there are many large and small commercial organizations that offer products and services that attendees purchase.

So I have the meeting place i.e. weekly webinars where presenters get a slide or two on who they are and what they do and they get kudos, the members are getting free education, so everybody wins.

I'm looking for monetization ideas, things that the commercial organizations will likely go for. It is a great project, but I need to have a clear offering and be able to communicate convince them how good it is.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Taff

Great initiative, those consultants, trainers and academics would want to teach it for free if they get exposure to a targeted audience and they can sell potentially their products and services. You can get a percentage of those sales, depending on how you agree with them. You have an audience and the way to monetize it is to offer irresistible offers to them.

So inviting them to a free training webinar and then at the end let the experts sell them something and you get a percentage of it.

    Hope that helps..

That's a good idea...you could also find other products your audience would buy and promote them on your site and get a percentage...through banners, email marketing. Perhaps offers on JVzoo and you could promote related books from amazon.

Or you could even create your own product, get your experts to review it and make even more!

How about introducing a "products session" inside your webinars where people get to talk and softsell ther products. You can make it free for your members, but paid for the teachers who want o reach out to people. So, it's basically lik NO product discussions in the generalo webinar - they will be confined to the products section and you charge a participation fee. It could be like the WSO section on this forum. The sellers pays and the buyer buys for free.

Thanks guys, some good ideas. The webinar software webinarjam allows for promoting and selling products in right sidebar also can set to auto mass redirect all attendees to a url at the end of the webinar.

        Any other ideas?

Have of the experts in your field contribute to an eBook you sell on a separate website. Start a monthly subscription service for the eBook, keep updating it, and adding more content. Eventually, you'll turn all those list and social subscribers into paid subscribers.

Not sure about an ebook as content always changes. The webinar powerpoint slides will be housed in a files library on the site and access to that is for members >10 posts or those that have paid membership fee, so that may add a few paying members. The videos will be free acccess in my videos library I need that to be free for other reasons.

I was thinking of giving a generic free Certificate of Attendance PDF that attendees could download. And maybe I could put a optional donate for that???

I was also thinking of gettign sponsors and offering branding on webinars and on upcomign webinars web page and maybe let them have an offer page that webinar redirects to.

      Just brainstorming.
