Ho much will you pay for this domain?

Well, I really thank all those warriors who patiently answered by question (doubt) about a domain name I bought. I really learnt a lot about the rules of domaining.

But it could be helpful if anyone can appraise this domain hollywoodfilms.info.

I know that .coms are priced high but for someone who's looking to establish a movie database (information about all hollywood movies) this could be a better choice. Am I lucky buying this domain?

Waiting for your valuable responses..

  • Look at the Freemarket section as that is where you buy and sell domain names
  • Entirely depends on how much you paid for it.
  • Based on my experience getting offers for domains I own, you may wish to reach out to existing Hollywood film directory companies. They may be prepared to pay very decently for that domain.
  • Zero. There are dozens of registered trademarks by the same name. Unless you own one of these trademarks, you're inviting a legal challenge.

    • I dont want to rain on your parade but...

As its already been stated there are a lot of trademarks for the term "hollywood" so you really are treading on egg shells. There are plenty of sites that allow you to search for any registered trademarks such as trademarkia.com, i highly recommend doing some research for any future purchases.

Also .info isnt exactly the best extension as you mentioned in the OP so value wise isnt great on that basis alone.

However if a quality site was developed on the domain, or any domain for that matter it will always help when selling it.
  • It depends on what you're gonna do with the website. It's a great domain name, but if you're not gonna put in some work to grow it, you're just wasting your money..
  • You have a 40% trademark risk.

HollywoodBeach.info went for $90 in September.

You have close to 100 elements to consider in the valuation of it, and I don't have the time to run through them all, unfortunately.

You're looking at $50 to $100. Selling an info, though, as you rightly point out, is not a cake walk. I buy a lot of domains, but I stay clear of infos.

The trademark risk is worth considering. You're probably okay for a quick flip, though.

  • You might be able to sell it for up to $50. If you setup a nice-looking blog on it, you can definitely get that much.
