Hostgator Reseller Accounts Down from 9 Hours Now!

I don't have words to describe my pain and frustration. I have client using reseller account with 20 mails and there work day consists 90% emails and they been paralize today.

Now there can be some down time with all the services but 9 hours and still counting?? Absolutely pathetic

For now i am not able to digest loss of working day for my client, leave alone impact it will have on rankings on all the sites hosted. There was one site that was just starting to show on page 1 after investment and consistent work of 1 year.

I know it's better to be on VPN, but we didn't had that much traffic for now. But a lesson learnt.

This should be enough to sum up there state of affairs. Ok, they had some problem with servers but where were backup servers?

I feel your pain - while not as drastic as others who have 50+ sites with them, I still have a dozen or so clients under a shared/reseller plan, and the calls have been non-stop today. Unless you have a lot of clients, the hosting business is not something I'm interested in being in - too little $ to justify the headaches when there is (inevitable) outages. HostGator is clearly not able to keep up with customer support, they're too busy pumping $ into marketing... they're like the Walmart of hosting - cheap/enticing products, but the quality sucks. I guess you get what you pay for, so needless to say, I will be shopping around for decent hosting... my peace of mind is worth more than $25/month.

Very True. First thing i am going to do is to tranfer to some decent host.

They are still down, i hope to get out of this mess soon. I can't bear it anymore.
