Why I always recommend Fiverr to newbies

The reason why I've always loved using Fiverr as a tool to make money is because it is such an easy site.

1) You can sell whatever you want for $5!
2) Payment goes straight to PayPal every two weeks when the gig is completed
3) Millions are on it....so you can easily make big money because of the huge number of people on it

So, how does a newbie get started on the site?

First of all, you can just look at some of the current gigs that are highly rated and start looking at what you WANT to model. You don't have to offer anything that you don't like.

Best of all, you can START FOR FREE TODAY!

So many people on here are ignoring Fiverr, and I really don't know why, especially when newbies tell me they want an easy way to make cash.

USE FIVERR PEOPLE! It's a great starting point to finally make money online.

At some point, I think Fiverr is the best place for newbies who wants to earn fast cash.
For those who have a passion to do web design like a simple logo, I think that would be a good gig, right?

Yeah, fiverr is great. Thousands of people working for poverty wages. Gimme more of that action.

And don't tell me it's a great place to start because most people that start there never break free. Hooking up with fiverr is about the worst thing a new marketer could possibly do.

Just because others don't see sales and don't make money from it, doesn't mean others don't make good money from their gig. Yes, I know people who make a consistent 4 figures every few months offering all kinds of services, ranging from SEO work to other things.

      Hooking up with Fiverr?

You make it seem as if no money can be made from Fiverr.

      Poverty line?

Fiverr is a great starting point to make fast cash.

      Break free?

I never said to use the site FOREVER!

I just said 'newbies'. It was on Fiverr I consistently saw a lot of extra cash flow in. Am I saying it's the end all be all, NOPE!

You definitely took my OP the wrong way.

But really! Fiverr is a wonderful site because of the huge potential. Yes, I do believe there are way too much people offering the same thing, but it's not impossible to see a couple sales flow in every now and then.

First thing, I'm not picking on you. I don't know how you can call this such a great thing. If someone is happy with "a couple sales flowing in every now and then" well, they aren't really Internet marketers, are they?

It doesn't matter if they're newbies or not. I've seen dozens of posts on this forum where people complained about the low pay on fiverr and that they just can't seem to break free from it.

The best way to break free is to never start there.

There are a couple of ways to make fiverr pay though. One is to use it as a lead generator. There are a handful of sellers out there that prime the pump with a gig or two and offer services well beyond that simple gig. I've read a few accounts of fiverr sellers making upwards of $10,000 a month with this method.

The other is arbitrage. There are fiverr sellers that produce short videos, for example. I purchased a 1-minute video a couple of years ago for $10 (two gigs) that was probably worth $75.

Smart people, people who recognize the true value of services, will buy that $10 video and flip it for $75 or more.

And do you know what that tells me and it should tell you and anyone else thinking of wasting their time there?

It tells me that many of the people selling out for peanuts could be making as much or more than the people who act as brokers or arbitrage agents.

And that brings me back to my main point. If you're going to go into business doing anything, first recognize exactly what value you bring to the table and DO NOT settle for less.

Actually Fiverr take 20% commission from the total amount, while there are many company take only 10%. Of course Fiverr take a high commission than others. Per Gigs rate is $5, the worker get only $4 & Fiverr deduct $1 from every gigs amount. As the worker get $4, so he works as for $4 only.

I have had the experience that yes, Fiverr is a great site to start, but it takes tremendous amount of efforts to really get it going. Because Fiverr won't send you the traffic, you have to get it yourself and that's time and patience. I believe there are indeed quicker ways to go about making your first buck online.

I am not convinced by fiverr as a site for making quick cash and I would say that the main advantage of fiverr lies in the ability to get things done very very cheaply.

The fact that there are so many people doing the same type of Giggs means making money is exceptionally difficult. However fiverr is a great place to promote your business before redirecting to your main site.

Yes it's a great way to start and get some confidence and make a bit of money.

A lot of people who put up Gigs, get no response, so I recommend continually scanning the Wanted lists of things you can do, and as soon as you see someone wanting something you can do well, create a custom Gig using their exact wording, giving them exactly what they want, and send it to them. I've done that several times, and it never takes more than an hour or two to sell a Gig that way

I think it's a terrible site to be honest. It's devalued the services offered there to a cheap $5. Why pay someone an honest wage when I can get the same logo done for $5?

I realize that people use it as a front end...sell something for $5 then offer more advanced services for a respectable rate...but I doubt that works very well, because again, the availability of cheap labor makes your offer stale. It's a race to the bottom like ECommerce on Amazon or eBay.

It's much better for people to set up a simple web page offering the same service, asking for a fair wage, and marketing the web page on the net. You'll keep more of it, get paid faster,m and will be able to scale it.

I never thought I'd see so many people so happy to make a pittance and ruin their chances of building something sustainable than I have with people's praise of Fiverr. Next we'll be seeing coaches selling coaching on Fiverr for $5.

Geez, you might as well get a job for minimum wage...you'll make more money than you ever will on Fiverr.

Here is why I do not rec FIVERR!

    • They hold my money FIVERR = 20 days, Paypal = 3 days.
    • I spend yes HOURS on the phone with a user.
    • I get only $3.92 per gig.
Basically, you make less than minimum wage. Also, you have to be check your in box every day like clock work for that ever elusive gig.

Due to high commission of the Fiverr, most of good & expert freelancer, does not want to work here. Though per gigs rate is $5, but after completing this gigs one freelancer get $4. Beside these if it has some more payment method, it would be more acceptable.

Yeah its nice place to generate some income.
Sell for $5 and get $4 after 2 weeks of hold time. So i prefer to sell only 5 min job here. like selling ebooks. where i just need to deliver when there is any order.
I recommed it because here you will see plenty of buyers and sellers then other gigs sites.
You can also use Gigbucks. where you only need to upload your work and post gig, you don't even need to deliver it when there is any order. its automatically deliver.

    So its a smart job.
and Nice place for smart freelancers and for newbies.

Fiverr is a great place to start.

It can be quite slow to begin with but like anything you build upon it week by week until you are making good money. As long as the gigs your selling do not take you too long and you can manage the orders you should be fine.

My tip is to always communicate professionally with your clients and make sure your finished product is good quality. That way you get more reviews and more orders!
