Are You Suddenly Making More Amazon $$$?

Some of my fairly moribund sites that I've neglected are suddenly making Amazon commissions. Are you also experiencing this with sites monetized with Amazon?

Amazon sales in general are up right now because people are starting to buy stuff for christmas.

I was kind of wondering if this was the reason. (It seems early, for that?)

Last year my October Amazon sales were higher than September's, but to nowhere near the same extent as this year.

Expensive stuff, too ... it's mostly not really "gifty"/"Christmassy" stuff that people are buying, I think (though you can't always tell). Still - it all helps.

For me, December's actually always been lower, overall, for sales than November - but then January's always been a kind of "bumper-bonus month" that's considerably more than compensated for that. I never know how representative my own trends/figures are, of other affiliates, though, anyway.

Yep, Q4 Amazon sales usually see a healthy little boost.

(Not in the Amazon business anymore, but historically I've found this to be the case).

Over the years, in most markets including eBay, I've seen a sharp rise in sales usually beginning about mid-September. I always attributed it to summer being over (in the northern hemisphere) and people spending more time at home on the internet.
