How to compare IM to Dieting

Hello Warrior peeps,

Let's see if I can get this right.

I read something cool today about how IM'ing can be seen like dieting, especially for beginners.

When you "decide" to diet, don't be that guy that spends 2 months or more figuring out which diet to go on, which gym to join, what shoes to wear, what outfit, or what style of weightlifting. Just do it! Just get going and do something.

Here's the link to read the full article on the dudes blog. Nothing for sale or anything like that. Just a good helpful article that I found with free good advice.

IM is all about taking action.

Whenever I took action I've made some money from it regardless how stupid the idea looked before.

You treat IM as you do any business. How can you possibly take action without a well defined plan. The success rate for this business is already below 5%. You have to develop a plan and then execute.

But, if you take the wrong action and run off in the wrong direction, before taking time to actually learn good techniques of marketing (such as how to set up and run an email, article marketing, etc), then you are likely to encounter failure which could lead you to quit. That's how it works with many starting out in internet marketing.

Though I don't think you should ride off into the sunset on a blazing saddle chasing some wild dream, that technique would be far more effective at getting somewhere (if only by trial and error), than sitting around and reading tips/techniques on a forum for years before taking even the first action.

Just do it! Just get going and do something.
Un-planned, Un-focused action is worse then no action at all.
