How One Super Affiliate Made Me $156,250 TODAY

Allen Says asked me to post this to help inspire a few Warriors and open eyes to some new possibilities.

So yes, $156,250 today from a "super affiliate" - but it's not what you think.

The affiliate happens to be a publishing house. Today is the release date for my cookbook with Simon & Schuster: America's Most Wanted Recipes - Book Summary & Video

I received a 6-figure bonus for signing with them, and prior to today they already had reserve orders for over 50,000 books sold to book stores and retailers. The total payout so far is $156,250 and that's only on day one.

This is a very exciting time for me. They tell me that we already have media interest from QVC, The Today Show, and Fox & Friends. I told them I'll believe it when the black car shows up to pick me up .

What does this have to do with the Warrior Forum?

Everything.

I owe thanks to the Warrior Forum for helping me get this deal. I've even given special thanks to the forum in the book and sent Allen a copy of the book.

I recently talked about how I got this deal on Willie's radio show:

In short, I got the book deal by:

1) Selling a lot of self-published books and ebooks using marketing strategies I learned here.
2) Networking and forming relationships with the contacts I met through Warriors.

It can all be traced back to attending the very first NY Warrior Lunch in 2004 where I met Mike Ambrosio, Mike Filsaime, Fabio Marciano, and Robert Puddy - see pic http://rondouglas.com/images/firstNYwarriorLunch.jpg

Years later I ended up working with the same agent that Mike F. uses. He shopped the book deal for me and got me a spot on Fox News. The publisher got excited about the book because of the exposure it was getting and the sales it had already made as a self published title.

As I mentioned, it was the marketing strategies I learned and the contacts I made on the Warrior Forum, that made this all possible. For that, I just want to say THANKS!

That's all I'll say for now. If people start to take interest in this thread or ask questions, I'll post more details on how others can do what I did.

      On the other hand, If this happens again, I would have a talk with your
      Super Affiliate and tell them to quit slacking.

      $156,250 is good for a Bonus and you should probably let them slide this
      time but, you know your signature is worth at least $300K.

    I am a published author but chose to create my own publishing company to save time, and to make 60% profit per sale instead of 10% royalty.

    That said these major publishers have serious distribution and marketing power as you have discovered.

    My book was a best seller on Amazon, but it took some hard work.

    I am currently writing another book.

    I hope your success inspires people to consider becoming published authors. I can say for sure that once you are a published author you immediately become an authority in the field, and your IM business will benefit greatly.

    From what you have said Ron you should hit the $1M in royalties mark quite soon, and I will congratulate you in advance.

    When I started here about a year ago one of the first things I read was your story. I was inspired that a regular guy who got started with IM around my age (26-27) was able to become so successful. It provided real inspiration that this was possible with the right amount of grit and determination.

    I'm sure you don't remember, but I sent you a message telling you how inspired I was by your backstory and how I would use it to propel my own ambitions.

    Well with a little sweat and hard work, fast forward a year now and I am pulling in over 5 figures per month.

  • Impressive Ron, that is a fantastic deal. And I'm not easily impressed.

    To everyone reading this thread, 2 things:

    1. Keep an eye out for this guy, a true legend on the rise.
    2. Read between the lines of this post. Don't focus so much on the figure, but on HOW he did it.

    Willie's blog talk radio interview with Ron is a definite must.

    You guys would be surprised at how simple this is, provided enough effort, research and testing. Then implementing all of it into a single focused project until you strike gold.

    The most important lessons here:

    • Get the hell out of your comfort zone and go out to meet some people, some contacts are priceless.
    • Heavy reinvesting into your business has to be done. Profits don't go into that new car, they go into things like a PR agent or proven traffic generation outsourcing.
    • Go for highly competitive niches, where there are proven buyers, that's where the money is. You just need to provide a unique spin to your offer like Ron did.
    • Don't be afraid to spend 5-6 figures (or more) if it's going to provide a killer ROI. ie: Spending $50,000 USD is a no brainer if it's going to make you $80,000.
    • Massive targeted traffic and/or exposure (be it nichefied or by demographics) is the most important thing, everything else is secondary.
    • Remember Ron's success was not immediate, he went through a few strikes before he found gold.
    I vowed to spend less time here in the WF and focus more on my work, but I just had to chip in on this great thread.

    It's not only an inspiration, but if you read between the lines it's also a great guide.

  • Wow, this sends shivers down by spine. Its so great and big, I would have never thought that someone can break this big out of the IM world into the real world. It is great, because it is a kick in the ass for the lazy ones who say "you can never make it big on the internet, only if you are amazon or google".

    Lets see if Amazon ships the book to Germany! Better: Can I order an autographed one from you?
