MRR license (yes can be edited and your name put on it)

Typically, there are three licenses that often get confused:

1- Resale rights (RR) - Usually it means you are given the right to resell the product. You can't change it, you can't put your name on it as the author, and you can't offer the resale rights to those you sell to.

2- Master resale rights (MRR) - Usually it means the same a RR with the additional license to extend the resale rights along to those that purchase from you.

3- Private label rights (PLR) - Typically means you can put your own private label on the product and claim authorship. You can change it however you want and set your own license terms. Many times PLR will come with some special terms like you can't use the real author's name on the product, you can't offer the product to others as PLR, or you can't give it away for free. The special terms are set by the original seller and must be adhered to.

Just remember, when all is said and done, the license you receive, in exchange for the money you pay, is not governed by some industry standard - it's whatever the seller decides.

So be sure to read the license terms and abide by them and keep a copy close by the product so that you can refer to it later if necessary.

As the seller, you can set whatever terms you want. But remember, you have a responsibility to enforce those terms to protect the honest buyers and keep a level playing field.
