My blog is picking up, what to do?

Hey guys, I finally found an area of expertise that a lot of people want to know about and have been writing about it. It's a game related topic.

I just started about a week ago and have 1000 people a day over the course of the last 2 days. I'm hoping this trend picks up and my mark is 3000 people a day.

Can someone explain to me how to monetize this without affiliate links on it? I don't want to put adsense or anything. I'm also guessing I need at least 3000 people a day (really 10,000) to make it worth while for advertisers.

Can anyone guide me?

I'm interested want to know how you do it first. LOL. I guess you can giveaway for lucky winner everyday or every week for email and sharing the link at Facebook, Twitter or Google+. You could make Press Release & Youtube video to drive quality traffic to your blog.

Maybe turn it into a membership site somehow? Charge users a monthly fee for exclusive access to same gaming related material. Just an idea.

I was thinking about that but I would need tens of thousands of visitors daily to get some to pay.

How are you actually monetizing it now without using Adsense or marketing products as an affiliate? Why opt for static advertising when you have more than enough visitors to profit from these two monetization methods? Assuming you're in a profitable niche, you have more than enough visitors to do very, very well.

Regardless of what you're doing to monetize your site, you should be collecting your visitors emails and building a list. This will be one of the best ways to get these visitors coming back to your website again and again, and giving you an amazing opportunity to market to them should you decide to do so.

If you insist on reaching out to advertisers, you probably already have enough traffic (assuming it stays where its at now or grows). I was getting offers for sponsored posts for over $250 each when I had half the amount of traffic your getting.

Adsense pays squat but I would take $250 for a banner ad. I want it to grow to 3k at least.

Have you tried it? I had an old blog in a relatively unprofitable niche (for Adsense anyway) that made around $25 a day from the ads, with only about 1400 or so visitors a day. Low CPC's are somewhat made up for by enabling interest-based advertising. Google's going to serve the ad that's most likely to make them the most amount of money, so you both win.

It's also worth nothing that with that kind of traffic that your site may be targeted by advertisers directly. This shoots the CPC up drastically.

I know people love to say that its "not worth people leaving your site for pennies" but the reality is that Adsense pay is actually decent and the type of people that click on ads probably weren't interested enough in your site to become subscribers anyway.

Now it's hard to say what exactly will and will not work for you as I don't know your website's niche, but no matter what I can not stress the importance enough of retaining your visitors. The email marketing section here on Warriorforum is great for learning about list building.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Adsense that is.

    1. Are you Creating A List with these people visiting?
    2. Are you adding Value in some form to the people that visit your blog?
    3. Are you willing to give "something" away for FREE or something of VALUE to your potential customers that subscribe to your list?

As far as monetizing your situation I suggest not using affiliate links in your information you are giving to your visitors. Instead "Capture Their Information" in some form or fashion (Free Ebook Etc) to build a list that you can use for future products/services.

Well affiliate links for game guides... on blog sidebar ... selling text links should be easy enough too - build a list and give advice/tips/news/exciting stuff and put affiliate links once again to guides etc.

Create a short guide about how you are growing your blog, traffic sources and methods. Give it for free to subscribers and build a responsive list. you can send relevant products to your list later.

Build a list as suggested above. Then come up with a product or service that you offer to your customers. Combine this well with paid adverts. And continue doing what you are doing to increase your visitors.

I concur with you, you don't need adsense to earn money, so don't go that way..
