Finally I have Time and Money to invest.. What should I do

Hey guys... This will my my last month of a project I'm working for offline. Then I'll be unemployed but with time and a little cash to invest. I'm thinking on investing them fully in IM.

What would you recommend? I don't have any list, and I'm not a very good copywriter. I also don't like/understand video and youtube. What do you recommend?

Thanks!

    Henry,

It doesn't matter if you're not good at something now, or if you don't know much about a certain tactic. All of this can be learned if you're willing to take the time to do so.

What I'd honestly recommend is finding one method that's profitable, can be scaled up, and is interesting to you. Invest all of your time into mastering this one method. With internet marketing, it's better to be a master of one tactic than to be a 'jack of all trades' so to speak.

On a side note, I'd also get another offline job until the online thing kicks off. You don't want that kind of pressure on you. It can take a while to learn the ropes and chances are you will make mistakes, as all of us have.

    Best of luck!

Yeah.. The main idea I have in mind right now is to build a list. I already have a sample design but I need to prepare the email series.

The part that I'm most worried about is traffic.

Getting free traffic would mean a great competitive advantage in the long run.

So what I'd be looking for is a way to convert time into traffic to my squeeze page.

Sounds like you're making a good choice

There's plenty of ways to go about getting free traffic, but only you'll know which ones will work best for you. I personally build my list list primarily through my blog, but also utilize my YouTube channels, forums, other blogs, and PPC.

Speaking of PPC, it's something to look into once you have some data to work with. I'm building my list relatively quickly through Facebook for a very cheap price. If you know that each subscriber will earn you an average of X amount of dollars, than all you have to do is pay a cheaper price than that per opt-in and you're profiting without any extra work.

        Hi,

So you want to build a list.

You're starting off on the right foot there my friend.

If you have a budget you can create some campaigns and start
testing them from scratch right away.

You can test 2 funnels with slight variations against one another to
see which one comes out on top.

R.O.I. is the key with paid traffic.

Your aim should be to be able to build list for free so you can then scale
up your spending as your funnel is tested, tweaked and improved.

But all the while you're building your lists too.

You can be building relationships/selling affiliate offers whilst this is
        happening in the background.

Sharpening your email marketing skills whilst you tweak your funnel to
        perfection.

Also another great idea you may want top consider is that while you're
building a list and gathering up all this data......

.....Eventually you may want to release a product about your findings etc.

Case studies always get a very good response from buyers.

This way you can now also build your own BUYERS lists through
        your own products.

Henry FREE traffic is a bit of a myth mate - you are either investing lots of time with SEO, posting on forums, blog posts - and even then it takes time for trickles of traffic to show up, depending on the niche and how well your squeeze page convert. you really are much better off using Facebook, and solo ad spends to target the traffic - this way you get a much tighter audience and more chance at scaling. You could always invest in an existing web business with traffic from Flippa and build the business up witn paid traffic.

Now, you could give me some of that cash, if you just need somebody to take it..... Just kidding.

Based on your questions, it might help to get some IM coaching to lend structure and perspective to your goals/objectives, perhaps. A coach can point out strategies on where to start, what to perform, how much to budget for, and all of necessary steps to kickstart your business. There are several coaching offers here in the WF that you might investigate. But do your due-diligence.

      Good luck with this...

I would recommend a coach as well or at least investing a little into a program that can put some structure around what you are trying to accomplish. It is extremely easy to start chasing "shiny things" in any of these spaces. Best of luck!

      1. Decide what niche you ant to be in.

      2. Build a site that you post super quality content to.

      3. Share that content on Facebook, twitter, pinterest etc...

      4. Build a list of people who want to know when your next post is.

      5. Give them amazing content and put ads or affiliate links in the content.

      6. Let them know you have a new post via email.

      7. Build this to 10k per month and then decide what's next.

Pick a Niche.Something that can be monetized and one that you have an interest in and hopefully some knowledge in.

To help you in becoming more knowledgeable you can also go to a place like Ezine Articles put in the Niche you are pursuing and do a Search. You can go over articles others have written from credible Authors and learn a lot that way.

      Then get these items:
      1. Hosting - $10 a month
      2. Domain for Squeeze Page/Blog $10 a Year
      3. Autoresponder service $30 a month
      4. Free Gift to use as Lead Magnet on Sq.Page

I disagree with hiring a coach, because I think since you have time. you can pretty much learn everything online. If you want to build a list, then that's a good idea. Look for some good webinars, and tutorials that give you some good tips on how to build and manage your list.

If you're going with this strategy then you'll also need to ensure that the emails being sent to your list have high deliverability. This means that you will need to ensure that the emails you are sending are actually being read, and they're not being transferred to the spam folder or being lost during the way.

you can do this for free on winning email.

The following article should be helpful to you with regards to making your own list:

I might qualify this approach when I suggested some coaching because there are some criteria at play here. IF you know what direction (domains, niches, implementations, tools, SEOs, strategies, etc.) you want to go and how to get there (or do not have a budget for coaching), then yes, it would be good to bypass the coaching option whether or not you have time.

However, based on original post, there might be some opp for external help. Most times, appropriate coaching can short circuit some painful and time-consuming lessons that you could otherwise experience in starting your business. The key word is - appropriate coaching - because there are a lot of coaching alternatives out there from reasonable to high-priced to match to your current capabilities at this time. This post is not alone in this PoV.

You can check this WF for such alternatives or other venues to help more quickly ramp up your business implementations, if any interest.

    Hi Henry,

Lots of the standard recommendations. I would support the idea of getting a coach because that should take you less time to see profitable results.

I personally have tried the standard recommendations. That is the finding a niche, getting hosting, setting up the website or blog, using compelling content, getting your squeeze page and autoresponders and on and on and on. No positive income results for me.

I've tried SEO, got excellent results ranking on page 1 for Google, Yahoo, Bing searches but no income.

I bought PLR products thereby giving me 100% commissions on someone else's product. I have done the ClickBank etc affiliate products. Driving traffic using PPC, Facebook ads, again the standard recommendations. Sales did NOT cover ad costs.

When I finally got positive results in two (2) months, it was because of a joint venture (JV) partnership.

The JV partnership opened up for me a total and successful online marketing system. Training, squeeze pages, swipes, autoresponders, back-end support staff and follow-up sales, product testing and development, etc, etc.

If that is what coaching does. I say go for it. Once you start earning enough to live with surplus to invest, then use the skills you would have learnt to launch out on your own.

Get started on learning these things. 1 forum post on this site won't solve the *real* problems you have when it comes to starting out. If i had to recommend anything... especially if you're not skilled with info-product creation (or ebook creation)... start with affiliate marketing. There are great threads and content in the war room and free wso's that will show you how to have success with it. It really is an easy process man. I'm confident that you'll get the hang of it soon.

Forum posting can be effective if done in the correct ones. As is getting involved in some Facebook Groups. Make sure to study relationship building otherwise you are starting the list for nothing. You have to know how to communicate to a list.

If you have to ask where to invest your money in IM, you're really not ready to put it anywhere. Save your cash until, as a business owner, you understand where to spend it.

If you have money and time, just spend the money to make you living wisely and use your time to learn new things.

Remember I did not said buy something for now, you need spend time to learn how you can spend your money wisely.

When it is IM, you can not learn everything, the best thing is try to narrow your focus first and work on a niche. Make some money and go ahead. Do it repeatedly and people will call you a successful IM professional.

    Hope this helps

    1) Find a product or program to promote

    2) Create a sales funnel that converts - you did this by adding massive value and once you pitch your audience will buy from you because they find you credible

    3) Make sure you drive massive volume - start with one traffic generation to start with. I highly recommend free FB marketing and PPC

Find a system that already works.

Don't start worry about building lists, copy writing and making video's.

If you do your research you'll find people and products out there that already offer everything you need, and your single goal will be to one thing. Deliver Traffic.

Step one: Watch the Frank Kern 3 min. video posted by Robert in this thread.

Step two: Read this FREE report; www.gjabiz.com/free.pdf

Step three: Create your first product, maybe free to collect a list.

OK, Frank Kern shows you how to create a product, read a few books on a subject, dictate a report (Dragon Naturally for paid, similar FREE products),

Then, using all free stuff, like DropBox and other tools in the short report, you set it up.

This is to give you a fast start, a quick peek at IM, with basic lessons, without spending any money.

I'm going to give you the first product, a special report:

HOW TO GROW STEVIA FOR FUN AND PROFIT.

Think you can find anything about Stevia in the next few hours?

Then, you can use dropbox to host the report, use your signature file here at WF to begin to sell it, you can create a simple capture page, also at dropbox, use Free MailChimp to start a list...and all this within the next 24 hours, not spending a single dime and giving yourself the opportunity to LEARN some basic fundamentals and tools of IM.

You need a product (or service to sell).
You need a way to get eyeballs (start with sig file here).
You need a squeeze, or email capture page.
You need a report or a FREEBIE to give away.

You will then build a list and get buyers. Stevia product fits into the Health as well as the homesteading and several other markets. I use Stevia as an example for YOU.

So, START now. USE free. Decide a plan of action. But the very first thing you need to be successful is...

a GOAL and a PLAN to achieve it. Sadly, it is what most people in your situation never get around to doing until after they have spent time and money to get no results.

    OK, there you go.
