"Refer a friend" script

INTERNET MARKETING

I've been reading about some people using "Refer a friend" scripts on their "Thank you" page after a user signs up to their list. I guess they use a script to track referrals in order to give them an additional free bonus.

Does anyone have any idea which script would be good for this? One that, I presume, tracks referrals from an individual before it "unlocks" the free bonus for them.

Any ideas? Or have I misunderstood the functionality of such a script.

Our developers wrote our Refer-A-Friend script, so I won't be much help here. However I did want to interject that this might be a good place to promote your affiliate program instead?

Something like the Viral Marketing - Contest Burner Online Contest Software plugin would be good for this. Once they optin you can have a contest and get them to refer your site to others.

Looks like a good product. Just a little out of price range for the feature I'm looking for.

A goood Tell-A-Friend script that I have used in the past is this one Free Tell-a-Friend Share Button for your Website (NOT an Affiliate Link) It worked really well and got me some good amount of extra traffic when I was promoting an online event
