    Hi SteveSilver,

That's a good group to build a list on as thrifters always want the heads up on coupons, on how to save. Basically, a pretty obsessive group.

As a start, perhaps monetize your FB group's header and drive it to a squeeze page offering them a free guide on something they really want?

Bearing in mind FB these days will only send out your posts to more members if you make it a paid post, it might still be worthwhile imho as you can monetize it for the long term.

As a target, I think if you can convert that 5k+ members into a 2.5k+ list, that would be a remarkable success.

    All the best!

Being that Facebook severely limits the organic (free) reach of Fan pages to the people who like them, this would only be achievable with paid traffic.

And it will take a lot more than 5K fans to produce a list of 2.5K. That is a 50% conversion of fan to opt-in.

But yeah eveyrone's suggestions to build a list is a good place to start.

Also if you can build yourself a blog where you can share deals and post regular content, thus creating an authority site, you will give yourself more opportunities to get more leads and generate more revenue through publisher networks like Adsense and other affiliate programs.

thanks so a site first but have it more of a blog type? Also with the list, I have a book coming out on thrifting, I am sure if I told the members I would randomly give 100 users a free copy they would sign up but where can I find a program to create and manage the list? thanks everyone.

  • If you have a passionate community then try Teespring. Create some thing outstanding and see how it works. Often time they enjoy what you have created and thank you, in the process you can earn a decent money as well.

I'd recommend pinning a post to the top where people can get on your list or invest in something.

That will get the most exposure

You have a few good options:

    1. List Building
    2. TeeSpring
    3. Paid Updates

Personally, I'd develop a free 4-day course, and use your group to grow a list. The most important thing right now though is to actually grow your group and not lose any potential leads if FB decide to close you down one morning. 5K is a nice start. Build it up and direct them to your list.

You now need to direct your Facebook members to your own website from which you can start generating sales revenue. Facebook group members convert really well so this shouldn't be too much of a problem. The idea of the sticky at the top of the group is a good one!

For quick revenue sell affiliate products. Results you will see very soon. But it is strongly recommended to prepare the ground with some free (and useful) content.

    Hi,

    1. Try and get them onto some kind of list.

    2. Join some lists and any affiliate programs that match what your
    people are looking for.

    3. When you get emails from those lists you've joined......

....You can match them up (their offers) with your own lists.

This way you'll always have a head start as to what thrifting offers are
    currently hot.

The hard work has been done for you this way.
