    Tony Robbins is good.

Check out Mastery by Robert Greene and Accelerated Learning Techniques by Brian Tracy. Accelerated learning techniques I got on audible, so I'm not sure if it's even a book, but it's really good stuff.

Tony R is good only if you want to feel better about yourself. Rich Dad Poor Dad is a made up story, FYI.

Generally speaking, it's best to avoid best-sellers.

The book that I enjoyed the most was "Branding Against the Machine," by John Morgan. It actually gives you ways to make your business better, not endless ego strokes.

I don't know about "life-changing" but it was certainly "eye-opening" when I first read it many years ago.

If I was a Newbie and I wanted to learn by reading ....of course there are some books out there that are worthwhile.

But I would also make it a point to go down to the Copywriting Forum and hang around there some.

This will be a very important ingredient to your Success in IM...learning how to effectively ( and profitably) communicate with others.

I wouldn't go so far as to call any business book a "life-changer", but this is outstanding (in conjunction with the author's other books) for people who want to understand the fundamentals of day-trading without most of the usual "indicator-based nonsense" getting in the way: Day Trading: Joe Ross: 9780976402909: Amazon.com:...Day Trading: Joe Ross: 9780976402909: Amazon.com:...

And this one's excellent for people who can write a bit and like getting floods of responsive, highly-targeted traffic to their websites: Turn Your Words Into Traffic: Finally! the Secret...Turn Your Words Into Traffic: Finally! the Secret...

Both these books are slightly old-fashioned, in the most positive and favorable possible sense of teaching reality-based techniques which are very well proven reliably, consistently and solidly to have stood the test of time and changing markets - and that's actually quite an unusual thing, with "information books".

The two books I'd recommend for anyone starting a business (especially an online business) are:
    1. The Four Keys to the Epiphany by Steve Blank: The Four Steps to the Epiphany launched the Lean Startup approach to new ventures. It was the first book to offer that startups are not smaller versions of large companies and that new ventures are different than existing ones. Startups search for business models while existing companies execute them.
    2. Founders at Work by Jessica Livingston: A collection of interviews with founders of famous technology companies about what happened in the very earliest days. Where did they get the ideas that made them rich? How did they convince investors to back them? What went wrong, and how did they recover? The reason their founders become rich is that startups do what businesses do--create value--more intensively than almost any other part of the economy. How? What are the secrets that make successful startups so insanely productive? Read this book, and let the founders themselves tell you.
    (Descriptions shamelessly adapted from Amazon.com)

Blank's book in particular would be valuable for the many WF members who seem to be looking for push-button methods to instant riches. You certainly won't get that sort of thing from his book -- but you will get a new way of thinking about what it means to start a business. In short, instead of execution, the focus is on experimentation and hypothesis testing. It's hard to overstate how important this change in mindset is.

Livingston's work is less transformative, but still very informative. And it's a really fun read!
