landing page questions please help

HI Guys

When your promoting things like vacuum cleaners and kids toys do you still need an optin section to capture email surely vacuum cleaners are buy and forget products?

Also for things like amazon products can your landing page be a picture of the product with a link and some testimonials from amazon? Or does it need to be more than that if so can you show some examples?

For my info products im using my blog as a optin page. So they can use the blog as they like and then optin for my downloadable video course. Im using the blog to build a relationship with them and then i will start promoting my product on it. Do you think using a blog to capture email is a good idea or should i have a more aggressive sales page for my blog

thanks Robert

Hi Robert, you say you want to get a good relationship with your buyers, i think if you get to aggressive with your landing"squeeze" page you may lose some, but on the other hand it is best to build your list for future ventures, so the more opt-ins the better in the long run. I think its just a case of how you feel about it.

    Hi Robert,

Sure, you can use your blog to try and capture emails, but it's definitely not the only
way you should use... having a squeeze page where the only call to action is
to give you their email address will outperform your blog for capturing emails many
    times over! (in general)

And this don't mean to not use your blog to build relationships, just send your list
    your blog updates.

Having to many "options" (call to actions) on one page will dilute all of them.

    Cheers, Pete

Robert, most stuff people buy on Amazon is "buy and forget", yet Amazon still sends people a newsletter with products that might interest them. A relationship is a relationship. It's extremely valuable.

I agree with Tyrus on that one. The thing is, if someone buys a vacuum cleaner, there's a chance he'll b looking to buy other stuff some other time. And if you have them on your list n they read your letters every now n then, whenever they need what you advertise in ur email (no matter how long ago that was) it might trigger them to get back to you because of that relationship you've built and before you know it you'll make a bit more money. Sound good?

I hope that helps a bit...

    Hey

Though its just a 'buy and forget' thing, you should still maintain a good relationship. If you see discounts on home appliances, you can tell them about the promotion, and you could see if that has an affiliate program or not. Always capture subscribers!
